The Chiefs signed Armstrong from the practice squad to the active roster Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Armstrong played 69 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps and 38 percent of the team's special-teams snaps in the Week 6 victory over the Chargers. The wide receiver's versatility has earned him a promotion while Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Tyquan Thornton (ankle) are sidelined due to injury. Armstrong is set to be the No. 5 wide receiver for the Chiefs in the Week 7 matchup with the Seahawks.

Armstrong reverted to the Chiefs' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Armstrong started Sunday's game against the Chargers and played 42 of the Chiefs' 61 offensive snaps. The wide receiver caught one of two targets for 13 yards and logged one tackle on kick coverage. Armstrong will likely be elevated for the team's Week 7 contest against the Seahawks as well.

The rookie from Arkansas was dropped by the Dolphins in late August after failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster, but he's since found work in Detroit. During his final collegiate season, Armstrong appeared in 11 games and caught 78 of 122 targets for 1,140 yards and one touchdown.

Andrew Armstrong: Agrees to deal with Dolphins
Armstrong is slated to sign with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Armstrong played four seasons of Division II football before jumping to the SEC, where he looked comfortable immediately. Over two seasons at Arkansas, Armstrong produced 134 receptions for 1,804 yards and six touchdowns. He led the Razorbacks in receiving yards both seasons and paced the SEC in the category in 2024. The 6-foot-4, 202-pound receiver ran a 4.51 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, and he'll look to earn a roster spot with a strong training camp and preseason.
