Reggie Begelton: Let go by Green Bay
Begelton was waived by the Packers on Tuesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Begelton put forth a strong effort during training camp, but there simply was not room for him on a roster that included five locks at his position. Begelton has been with the Packers since January of 2020, so there's a good chance he lands a spot on the team's practice squad.

Packers' Reggie Begelton: Two catches in second exhibition
Begelton was targeted four times and caught two passes for 15 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Jets. He also returned two punts for 35 yards.
Begelton impressed with a 28-yard punt return, but it's unlikely that moved the needle much in the competition for reserve receiver spots on the Packers' roster, and there are still as many as eight wideouts ahead of him on the depth chart.

Reggie Begelton: Hits waivers
The Packers waived Begelton on Tuesday.
Begelton made his NFL debut in Monday's win over the Falcons, logging two offensive snaps and two on special teams. The former CFL star didn't receive a target. If he clears waivers, the Packers will likely try to retain him on the practice squad in case their wide receivers suffer another slew of injuries.

Packers' Reggie Begelton: Promoted from practice squad
Begelton was promoted to the Packers' active roster from the practice squad Monday.
The 27-year-old will join the active roster ahead of Monday's matchup with the Falcons, as Allen Lazard (abdomen) is on injured reserve and Davante Adams (hamstring) isn't expected to play. Begelton could see some offensive snaps versus Atlanta since Marquez Valdes-Scantling likely will be the only available wideout who already has a catch this season. Darrius Shepherd and Malik Taylor will also be in the mix.

Reggie Begelton: Falls short of final roster
The Packers waived Begelton on Saturday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
