  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Officially active for Week 11

Ojulari (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. The Cardinals activated Ojulari from the PUP list Saturday, and the 2023 second-rounder has been officially cleared to make his 2025 debut Sunday. He has fully recovered from a torn ACL that he suffered in August of 2024. Ojulari's return gives the Cardinals an extra contributor on special teams and added depth at linebacker.

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Activated from PUP list

The Cardinals activated Ojulari (knee) from the reserve/PUP list Saturday, but he is still listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Ojulari has been recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in August of 2024. While he's still listed as questionable for Week 11, his activation indicates that he should be available to make his 2025 debut in Sunday's NFC West tilt. His return will boost a Cardinals linebacker corps that is without Baron Browning (concussion) and Mack Wilson (ribs - IR).

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Limited in Thursday's practice

Ojulari (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. Ojulari's practice participation has been limited since his 21-day window to return from injured reserve opened in late October. He is recovering from a torn ACL, MCL and lateral meniscus in his left knee that he suffered in August 2024, and he'll likely need to log full practices before being activated from injured reserve.

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Staying on PUP list

Ojulari (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. Ojulari was limited in practice all week, and he hasn't progressed enough in his recovery for the Cardinals to activate the 2023 second-rounder from the PUP list. He is in the final stages of his recovery from multiple ligament tears in his left knee that caused him to miss the entire 2024 campaign. Ojulari would be in line to make his 2025 debut in Week 11 against the 49ers on Sunday, Nov. 16 if he were to log full practices.

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Limited at walkthrough

Ojulari (knee) was estimated to be a limited participant at Wednesday's walkthrough, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official website reports. Ojulari was unable to make his return to action in Week 9 after missing the entirety of the season to this point while recovering from multiple ligament tears in his left knee that he suffered in August 2024. The linebacker had his 21-day practice window opened last week, and he was able to log a series of limited practices. Ojulari will have two more chances to practice in a full capacity before Sunday's contest against the Seahawks.

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Limited in return to practice

Ojulari (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. The Cardinals opened Ojulari's 21-day practice window Thursday, and he was limited in his first practice of the season. The 2023 second-rounder tallied 40 tackles, including 4.0 sacks, across 17 regular-season games during his rookie year, but he was sidelined for his entire sophomore campaign after tearing the ACL, MCL and lateral meniscus in his left knee in August 2024, and a scope that he underwent in June revealed complications to the same knee that caused a setback during his rehab, per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com. Ojulari will be in line to suit up for the Cardinals once he's been activated from IR, but he'll likely have to log full practices before Arizona makes that move.

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Still recovering

Ojulari (knee) was placed on the active/PUP list Wednesday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. Ojulari tore his ACL in training camp one year ago. He was reportedly close to returning to the practice field during offseason practices, so his stay on the PUP list will presumably be short.

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Progressing in recovery

Ojulari (knee) is close to practicing again after tearing his ACL in training camp last August, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Arizona coach Jonathan Gannon said Ojulari is progressing in his rehab while taking on a "one-day-at-a-time mindset," per Urban. The defensive end is unlikely to return before training camp, but if he can get back by then, he can compete for a role in 2025. A 2023 second-round pick, Ojulari recorded 40 tackles, including 4.0 sacks, on 394 defensive snaps across 17 regular-season games as a rookie.

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Shifts to IR

The Cardinals placed Ojulari (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. Ojulari tore his left ACL two days ago, so his move to Arizona's IR is no surprise. The 2023 second-round pick out of LSU had a solid rookie campaign, recording 40 total tackles, including 4.0 sacks, and one pass defended across 17 regular-season games (394 defensive snaps). With Ojulari missing the entire coming season, expect 2024 first-round pick Darius Robinson to see more first-team reps as the preseason unfolds.

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: Breaks out Week 10

Ojulari logged eight total tackles (four solo), including two tackles for loss and two sacks in Sunday's 25-23 win over the Falcons. The 2023 second-round pick seems to be finding his groove in the NFL, as he's recorded 14 of his 20 total tackles and all three of his sacks on the year over the last three weeks. Even after Ojulari's slow start, he's still only two sacks behind Dennis Gardeck for the Cardinals' sack leader. The 21-year-old edge rusher saw his highest snap share (52 percent of defensive snaps) of the season Sunday, and his playing time could very well continue to increase after this performance.

  • Cardinals' BJ Ojulari: PUP bound

Ojulari (knee) was placed on the Cardinals' active/PUP list Wednesday. The 41st overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft is dealing with a knee injury that will keep him sidelined for the beginning of camp. Arizona is hopeful to get Ojulari back soon, as the team is in need of edge rushers after finishing in the bottom third of the NFL in sacks last season and losing J.J. Watt to retirement. In his final two seasons at LSU, the 21-year-old Ojulari put up 112 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks.

  • Cardinals' B.J. Ojulari: Heading to the desert

The Cardinals selected Ojulari in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 41st overall. Brother of Azeez, Ojulari blazed his own path at LSU and turned in a strong three seasons on the Bayou with 16.5 sacks and 25 tackles for loss. His 6-foot-2, 248-pound frame isn't ideal for an every-down player, but he has good length (34.25-in. arms) to help fight off blockers and the film showed him to be an explosive athlete. Arizona has added some impressive athletes in the draft in recent years with the likes of Isaiah Simmons and Zaven Collins, and Ojulari gives the Cardinals yet another versatile chess piece on defense.
