Odds Shift Back In Favor Of Arvell Reese At No. 2 For The Jets

Fantasy News

  • Jets' Tyler Baron: Done for the year

The Jets placed Baron (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, Susanna Welr of the team's official site reports. Baron suffered a knee injury during the first quarter of New York's loss to the Dolphins in Week 14 and will miss the remainder of the season as a result. Across six regular-season appearances, the rookie fifth-round pick racked up nine tackles (five solo), including one tackle for a loss.

  • Jets' Tyler Baron: Done for the day

Baron (knee) won't return to the Jets' matchup versus the Dolphins on Sunday. Baron is done for the day after being carted off the field due to a knee injury in the first half of the game. In the 24-year-old's absence, Micheal Clemons should see an uptick in playing time.

  • Jets' Tyler Baron: Unlikely to return Sunday

Baron (knee) is doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Baron had his knee injury briefly evaluated in the blue medical tent before being carted to the locker room. Micheal Clemons is set to see more rotational snaps at defensive end behind Will McDonald and Jermaine Johnson for the rest of Sunday's game, assuming Baron doesn't return.

  • Jets' Tyler Baron: Edge rusher joins Jets

The Jets selected Baron in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 176th overall. Baron enjoyed an impressive 2025 NFL Combine, highlighted by a 4.62 40-yard dash and 36-inch vertical jump at 6-foot-5, 258 pounds. His production was solid during his final two college seasons at Tennessee and Miami, respectively, and he led the Hurricanes with 11.0 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in 2024. Baron needs to work on establishing himself as a run stopper before he can work into a three-down rotation, but his plus athleticism could open the door to a situational pass-rushing role in New York.
