Woods started at nose tackle and had two tackles and a tackle for a loss in Sunday's loss to the Rams.
Despite an overall poor day from the Indy defense in a 46-9 loss. Woods fared well against the run as the Colts limited Todd Gurley to just 2.1 yards per carry. Woods won't produce many fantasy stats in his run-stuffing role, however.
Woods spent his last three seasons with the Titans, racking up 66 combined tackles in 42 games while plugging holes along the defensive line. The Colts were 25th in opponent rushing yards per game in 2016, so Woods should provide a nice boost for their run defense going forward.
Woods was released by the Titans on Wednesday.
Woods was released just one year into a three-year contract with Tennessee. He had 18 tackles in 12 games in 2016. He's now an unrestricted free agent, and he'll be 30 years old as of the start of the 2017 regular season.
He was unlisted on the team's injury report as well. The defensive tackle injured his calf in Week 4, and it was subsequently announced he would miss up to four weeks. A return this week would put him ahead of schedule. Head coach MIke Mularkey indicated Woods "looked good" at practice.
