Panthers' DaQuan Jones: Agrees to deal with Carolina
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones signed a one-year contract worth $4.05 million with the Panthers on Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Jones played all 48 games for the Titans over the last three seasons, recording 125 tackles, three sacks, four pass breakups and a forced fumble. The 29-year-old defensive tackle will help fill the void left behind after the Panthers cut Zach Kerr and Kawann Short this offseason. Jones will push Bravvion Roy for a starting job next to fellow defensive tackle Derrick Brown in 2021.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Active as expected
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones (foot) will play in Sunday's divisional game against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

It was reported earlier Sunday that Jones was expected to suit up, so this news doesn't come as a surprise. The Penn State product will make his season debut in Week 6, as he's spent most of the season on the COVID-19 list while not practicing. With the Penn State product finally ready to play, it's likely the team will work him into the rotation along side Isaiah Mack at nose tackle for Week 6.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Slated to play Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones (foot) is expected to suit up in Sunday's game against the Texans, John Glennon of The Athletic reports.

Despite Jones failing to suit up in any practice this week, it doesn't appear to have hindered his chances to play Sunday. It's likely he'll have some limitations, as he hasn't practice since he was placed on the COVID-19 list in September. With the Penn State product finally ready to play, it's likely the team will work him into the rotation along side Isaiah Mack at nose tackle for Week 6.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Questionable for divisional tilt
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Texans, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

Jones didn't practice all week, so while the door's still open, he's certainly trending in the wrong direction considering he hasn't practiced since he was placed on the COVID-19 list in late September. If Jones is ruled out, expect Isaiah Mack to start at nose tackle.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Activated from COVID-19 list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones has been removed from the Titans' Reserve/COVID-19 list and is active for Tuesday's matchup against the Bills, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Tennessee still has a number of starters sidelined with COVID-19, including Jeffery Simmons on the defensive side of the ball. The Titans at least now return a key component to the interior defensive line with the activation of Jones. The 28-year-old has eight tackles and one QB hit in three appearances this season, and his skills will be needed in a matchup against a Bills offense for which RB Devin Singletary has averaged 4.3 yards per rush on the season.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Lands on COVID-19 list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Jones has either tested positive for the virus or come into close contact with someone who tested positive. The 28-year-old nose tackle will need to progress through the league's COVID-19 protocols before returning to the lineup.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Remains steady
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones recorded 42 tackles, one sack and three passes defended across 16 games for the Titans in 2019.

As usual, Jones didn't post particularly notable stats. However, he remained a key player along the team's defensive line, logging at least a 50 percent snap rate in 14 of his 16 games. Jones is entering the final year of his contract with Tennessee, though the team could cut him this offseason and take on just on $1.3 million in dead cap. That could create a bigger role for Austin Johnson, who began to see more playing time towards the end of the campaign.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Tallies nine tackles
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones tallied nine total tackles, including two for a loss, in Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Bills.

Jones had been only a part-time player through the first four weeks of the season but he showed up in a big way in Sunday's loss. His nine tackles marked a new career high, nearly tripling his total for the season in the process. Jones has never shown a prolific ability to get to the quarterback, setting his best sack total with 3.5 in 2017.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Two assisted tackles
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones (biceps) assisted two tackles Thursday in the Titans' preseason opener against the Packers.

The last time Jones saw the field was Week 13 of the 2017 season, when he tore his biceps, requiring surgery. Jones is in line to resume a starting role this year, looking to go beyond his stats from 2017 when he recorded 31 tackles, 19 solo tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Signs three-year contract with Titans
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones (biceps) will return to the Titans on a three-year, $21 million deal, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Jones' 2017 season ended in Week 13 against the Texans, suffering a torn biceps that required season-ending surgery. He racked up 31 tackles (19 solo) and a career-high 3.5 sacks prior to the issue and should return to his starting role for the Titans in 2018 assuming he's healthy.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Will require season-ending surgery
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Titans head coach Mike Mularkey revealed that Jones suffered a torn biceps in Sunday's win over the Texans that will require season-ending surgery, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tennessee placed him on injured reserve Monday.

It's a devastating development for Jones, who had been peaking with nine tackles and 3.5 sacks over the past two games before his abrupt departure Sunday. The absence of Jones will likely open up more snaps along the defensive line for Karl Klug, David King and Austin Johnson.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Injures biceps Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones suffered a biceps injury in Sunday's game against the Texans and is questionable to return, Jason Wolf of The Tennessean reports.

According to Paul Kuharsky of 104.5 The Zone Nashville, Jones was seen on the sideline with his arm in a sling, which gives the impression he won't return to the contest. Jones was in the midst of a strong follow-up effort to his four-tackle, two-sack performance Week 12 against the Colts, as he had amassed five stops and 1.5 sacks before departing Sunday.

Titans' DaQuan Jones: Two sacks in Indy
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jones had four tackles (three solo) and two sacks in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Colts.

Jones lived in the opposing backfield in this one, registering three tackles for loss and a trio of hits on quarterback Jacoby Brissett. The 2014 fourth-rounder had never amassed more than 1.5 sacks in a season and came into Sunday's game with none this year, so this excellent performance came out of nowhere.

Titans DT DaQuan Jones 'happy' to be named starter
by Ruben Palacios | CBS Sports Staff

Titans defensive tackle DaQuan Jones just got a promotion, and like anyone would be, he's happy about it, The Tennessean reports.

Jones is eager to showcase why he deserves his starting role, but he's also very aware that the season is a long ways ahead and anything can happen between now and then.

"I'm happy to go into the (OTAs) as a starter, but I know that nothing is set in stone and I know there's plenty of competition for that job," said Jones. "So now I'm just trying to make the most of my opportunity."

Jones, a fourth-round pick last season, played sparingly in the beginning of his rookie year -- appearing in just four of the team's first 13 games. He improved toward the end of the season and got his first start during the last game of the year against the Colts. Jones said he wants to continue to improve and show he can be a force on the defensive line.

"Right now I'm trying to work a lot on my base technique, trying to shed blocks faster and make plays," Jones said. "I'm trying to go into the season and be a playmaker."

Titans project DE DaQuan Jones as starter
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com

Titans defensive end DaQuan Jones started the final game of his rookie season against the Colts and is on track to open the 2015 season in the same role, The Tennessean reports.

"He's a starter at end, it's what we project," coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "In the last game against Indianapolis, Jones played really well."

A fourth-round pick out of Penn State, Jones finished his rookie season with 13 tackles and one sack, with the sack and more than half of his tackles coming in his lone start at the end of the year.
