Robinson (ankle) lined up with the first-team defense during Wednesday's minicamp practice, CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco reports.
Showing no signs of the ankle injury he suffered in the 49ers' season finale, Robinson reportedly made a leaping interception on a deep pass from Brian Hoyer during seven-on-seven drills. He rolled with the first-string unit because Jimmie Ward (collarbone) wasn't able to participate in full, but if Ward switches to safety ahead of the upcoming campaign as expected, Robinson would likely become a mainstay in the starting lineup.
Robinson was carted off the field during the team's Jan. 1 loss to the Seahawks, but he luckily avoided any serious damage despite leaving the facility on crutches. He's projected to compete for a starting spot at cornerback in 2017 after a rookie campaign in which he racked up 28 tackles, eight passes defensed, and one interception in 14 games.
Robinson played through a hamstring ailment Sunday en route to a four-tackle performance before going down again, this time with an ankle injury.
