Kamalei Correa: Done in Jacksonville
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa (undisclosed) had his contract terminated by the Jaguars on Thursday, according to the league's official transaction report.

Correa appeared in six games with the Jaguars in 2020 before leaving the team for undisclosed personal reasons December. He also logged three contests with the Titans. Over his nine combined appearances last season, Correa had nine tackles and one pass breakup.

Jaguars' Kamalei Correa: Leaves team Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa left the Jaguars on Thursday due to personal reasons and the team placed him on the exempt/left squad list, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports.

Correa was acquired by the Jaguars from the Titans in exchange for a sixth-round pick, and the Boise State product has accumulated just seven tackles (four solo) with Jacksonville this season. The 26-year-old had been dealing with a hamstring issue the past two weeks, but it's still unclear why he left the team. Correa won't be available for Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Jaguars' Kamalei Correa: Unavailable Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans.

The 26-year-old was questionable due to the hamstring injury and will be sidelined for the second straight contest. Dakota Allen could see increased snaps in Correa's absence, but Joe Schobert and Myles Jack should continue to dominate the reps at linebacker for Jacksonville.

Jaguars' Kamalei Correa: Questionable for Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans.

The 26-year-old was sidelined for Week 13 due to the hamstring injury, but he'll have a chance to be back on the field Sunday. Correa should fill a rotational role in the linebacking corps if able to play this weekend.

Jaguars' Kamalei Correa: Out Week 13
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Minnesota, John Shipley of SI.com reports.

The 26-year-old has filled a rotational role since being acquired from the Titans in October, but he won't be available for Sunday's contest. Quincy Williams could have an increased snap share in Correa's absence.

Jaguars' Kamalei Correa: Shipped to Jaguars
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Titans traded Correa to the Jaguars on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Though the Titans activated Correa from the COVID-19 list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Bills, the linebacker was surprisingly inactive for the 42-16 win. The 26-year-old then submitted a trade request to the front office Wednesday, with Tennessee quickly finding a trade partner within the division. Correa, who logged 8.5 sacks across the previous two seasons, should have an easier path to regular work in Jacksonville with Leon Jacobs (knee) on injured reserve and fellow outside linebackers Myles Jack (ankle) and Dakota Allen (foot) uncertain to play in the Jaguars' Week 6 game against the Lions.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Back from COVID-19 list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Titans activated Correa from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Correa didn't miss a game while on the list, and he's expected to suit up Tuesday against the Bills. The 26-year-old linebacker's role was limited through the first three weeks of the season, and that likely won't change considering how much practice time he has missed.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Placed on COVID-19 list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa was added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Correa is the fourth player placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list due to the team's recent outbreak. Per the league's rules, Tennessee can't disclose whether Correa is in quarantine or positive for the virus.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Remains with Tennessee
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa re-signed with Tennessee on Wednesday, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports. Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Correa's one-year deal is worth up to $3.5 million.

The 2016 second-round pick is coming off a 2019 campaign in which he logged 37 tackles and a career-high five sacks in 16 games. Now that he's back in the fold, the 25-year-old will continue to provide a pass-rushing element at outside linebacker.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Five sacks
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa recorded 37 tackles, five sacks and six tackles for loss across 16 games for the Titans in 2019.

Correa had his best statistical season, reaching career-high marks in sacks and tackles. He surged to close the campaign, getting to the quarterback four times in his last five regular season contests. He continued his strong performance in the postseason, racking up two additional sacks. Correa could have set himself up for a big payday with his close to the season as he is set to hit free agency in March.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Gets to the quarterback
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa recorded one tackle, a sack and forced a fumble in Sunday's 17-0 win over the Giants.

Correa saw an increased role due to the absence of Brain Orakpo (elbow). While he didn't rack up many tackles, he made a big impact, forcing a strip sack of Eli Manning late in the third quarter. The turnover set up a touchdown for the Titans, giving them a two-score lead. Even in limited playing time this season, Correa has proven to be a capable pass-rusher, as he now has 3.5 sacks on the season.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Limited participant Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa (foot) was limited during Thursday's session, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Despite the limited participation, there seems to be little doubt that Correa will be on the field to face Baltimore -- his former team -- on Sunday. Though he's been only a part-time player for the Titans, Correa has made an impact by recording two tackles for a loss and two sacks this season.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Practices Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa (back) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Correa sat out Sunday's win over the Jaguars due to a back injury, but he appears to have fully recovered. The third-year linebacker is seemingly on track to suit up Week 4 and will play a key rotational role in Tennessee's defense.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Downgraded to out
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Correa was originally listed as questionable after sitting out Friday's practice, but he will be unable to go. Harold Landry and Sharif Finch could see an increase in snaps providing depth at outside linebacker in his absence.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Sits out practice Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Correa was new arrival on Thursday's injury report, as he didn't practice then or Friday. The third-year pro has eight tackles and two sacks despite a limited role through two games. Since he's averaged just 32 snaps in those contests, he shouldn't be counted on in IDP settings.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Lands on injury report
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa is dealing with a back injury and did not practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Correa has recorded a sack in each of the first two games this season, but he now has a back injury after not being present on the injury report Wednesday. The extent of the issue remains unclear, and his participation or lack thereof at Friday's practice should provide some clarity about his status for Week 3.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: Another sack
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa recorded three solo tackles, a sack and two tackles for a loss in Week 2 against Houston.

Correa saw a diminished role in Week 2 in terms of snaps, but still made a few high-impact plays. Most notable was his second sack in as many games, but he also got pressure on another play, forcing DeShaun Watson to throw away a pass. Though the Titans have a number of notable veterans among their pass rushers, Correa has made his mark on the defense through two weeks.

Titans' Kamalei Correa: First career sack
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa recorded the first sack of his career and three total tackles in Week 1 against Miami.

Correa recorded his first caeer sack on a blitz from the right outside linebacker position, laying a blindside hit on Ryan Tannehill. He became a known name after his performance in the Hall of Fame game when he recorded six tackles, three sacks, an interception and forced a fumble. While that type of performance isn't likely to happen again during regular season action, Correa was on the field for 48 snaps in Week 1, with the majority of them coming at outside linebacker.

Ravens' Kamalei Correa: Traded to Titans
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa has been traded from the Ravens to the Titans for an undisclosed draft pick.

The 2016 second-round pick has 19 tackles and no sacks in 25 NFL appearances, splitting time between reserve roles at inside and outside linebacker in Baltimore's 3-4 defense. Correa has piled up 3.5 sacks this preseason while primarily playing outside linebacker, but it hasn't been enough to push for a key role on a team with strong depth at the position. He'll have a much better shot at playing time in Tennessee, where longtime starter Derrick Morgan (knee) is in danger of missing Week 1.

Ravens' Kamalei Correa: Lights up HOF Game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Correa finished Thursday's Hall of Fame Game with six tackles, three sacks, an interception and a forced fumble.

Correa was the undisputed star of an ugly, low-scoring contest. He's bounced between inside and outside linebacker since being selected in the second round of the 2016 draft, never quite looking comfortable at either position. He certainly looked the part at OLB on Thursday, spending much of the night in Chicago's backfield. Terrell Suggs and Matthew Judon have the starting roles locked down, but Correa is at least making his case for a sub-package role as a pass rusher. He'll need to compete with Tyus Bowser, Za'Darius Smith and Tim Williams.
