    Malveaux announced his retirement via Twitter on Thursday. Malveaux spent time with Miami, Arizona, Cleveland and Philadelphia since joining the league as an undrafted free agent out of Houston in 2017. The 6-foot-6 defensive end finished his career with 22 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble across 18 appearances.

    Malveaux inked a contract with the 49ers on Wednesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Malveaux was brought in for a workout by the team Monday, and, as evidence by this news, he made a strong impression with the team. The 26-year-old was last in the league with the Dolphins in 2018, suiting up in four games while accumulating four tackles (one solo) and a sack over that span.

    Malveaux agreed to sign with the Cardinals' 53-man roster off the Dolphins' practice squad, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. The Houston product played five games with the Dolphins this season and racked up six tackles (one solo). Malveaux will likely slide in as a depth defensive lineman on the Cardinals' defense.

    The Dolphins released Malveaux on Tuesday, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports. Malveaux was promoted to Miami's active roster from its practice squad on Oct. 2. The 24-year-old defensive end appeared in five games for the Dolphins and totaled six tackles in limited action.
