  • Artem Anisimov: Inks KHL deal

Anisimov agreed to terms on a one-year deal with KHL club HC Lokomotiv on Wednesday, per KHL.com.

Anisimov was in training camp with the Avalanche on a professional tryout agreement but was unable to earn a permanent contract with the club. Instead, the 33-year-old will return to the KHL for the first time since 2012-13, when he garnered 29 points in 36 games. At this point, this will likely mark the end of Anisimov's time in the NHL, which would see him eventually retire having played in 771 games for the Rangers, Blue Jackets, Blackhawks and Senators. In those outings, Anisimov generated 180 goals, 196 assists and 1380 shots while averaging 15:58 of ice time.

Anisimov has been rumored to be in KHL discussions, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
