Patrice Cormier: Trying luck in Russia
Cormier put pen to paper on a one-year deal with Barys Astana (KHL) on Monday.
Following a four-year stint in the QMJHL, Cormier bounced between the NHL and AHL, playing a total of 52 NHL games in which he tallied five points and 18 PIM. The defenseman never cracked the Jets lineup last season, instead spending the entire campaign with the Moose. His move to Russia will be the 2008 second-round pick's first crack at European hockey.

Cormier was sent to AHL Manitoba on Sunday.
Cormier is joined by Jake Baker, Mikhail Berdin, Axel Blomqvist, Brandon Denham, Jiri Fronk, Jimmy Lodge, Nelson Nogier, Jamie Phillips, Peter Stoykewych, and Tyson Wilson in the move to AHL Manitoba. The center has only played in 52 games in the NHL over his eight-year career, and hasn't produced viable fantasy value.

Jets' Patrice Cormier: Inks tryout for training camp
Cormier signed a professional tryout agreement with the Jets and will participate in training camp.
Cormier spent last season with Winnipeg on a one-year, two-way deal, but will have to earn a permanent contract this season. The center saw action in two games for the Jets during the 2015-16 campaign, but spent the rest of the year with AHL Manitoba where he recorded 32 points but was a minus-16.

Cormier was sent to AHL Manitoba on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old has struggled in the AHL this season, but was called up to the NHL last week anyway, though he only got into one game, skating 5:06 against Nashville last week. In 34 AHL games, he has 12 points while sporting an ugly minus-14 rating.

Cormier was recalled by the Jets on Sunday.
Cormier will join the Jets for the second time this season, and the 25-year-old has tallied five total points over 51 career NHL games. The center has 12 points (six goals, six assists) and 30 penalty minutes for AHL Manitoba this season, and was one of to forwards recalled to replace Adam Lowry and Drew Stafford on the roster. Either he or JC Lipon (the other forward recalled Sunday) will likely draw into Monday's lineup against the Avalanche.

Cormier was reassigned to AHL Manitoba on Monday.
Cormier was recalled to the parent club Wednesday, but skated just 3:53 worth of ice time in that span. He has two points through nine AHL games thus far and will likely be considered for another call up if Winnipeg finds themselves in need of help up the middle again.

An original second-round draftee of the Devils in 2008, Cormier collected two points and six PIMs in nine games with the Moose. He received the call-up with the Jets placing Andrew Copp (upper body) on injured reserve.
