Pitlick scored a rare goal during Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the host Blackhawks. Pitlick, who has played for seven NHL teams, is hoping to have found a home on the Blues' fourth line. The 31-year-old center scored his first goal in nine games Wednesday, assisted by rookie Nikita Alexandrov, who earned his first NHL point. Pitlick, who added three shots in 10:36 of ice time Wednesday, last scored during the 2021-22 regular-season finale against the Panthers on April 29.

  • Blues' Tyler Pitlick: Signs with St. Louis

Pitlick signed a one-year, one-way contract worth $750,000 with the Blues on Tuesday. Pitlick failed to earn a contract while attending St. Louis' training camp on a professional tryout offer in September, but with Pavel Buchnevich (lower body) and Brandon Saad (upper body) both banged up, the Blues are now in need of an extra body up front. Pitlick picked up five points through 39 games split between the Canadiens and the Flames last season.

  • Tyler Pitlick: Let go by St. Louis

The Blues released Pitlick from his professional tryout offer Friday, Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Pitlick evidently didn't show enough during training camp to secure a contract with St. Louis. The 30-year-old forward, who picked up five points through 39 games split between Montreal and Calgary last season, may have to settle for a two-way deal with another organization.

  • Blues' Tyler Pitlick: Signs tryout deal

Pitlick signed a professional tryout with the Blues on Thursday, per Bally Sports Midwest. Pitlick had a rough 2021-22, as he was limited to 39 games and amassed just five points between the Flames and the Canadiens. The 30-year-old brings more of a physical edge than a scoring touch, so it's possible he'll have to settle for a two-way deal if he impresses the Blues -- or any other team -- during training camp.
