Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog: Won't play next season
Landeskog will undergo a cartilage transplant in his right knee Wednesday and is expected to miss the entire 2023-24 season.
Landeskog sat out the entirety of the 2022-23 regular season as well as the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs because of a knee injury. The 30-year-old forward hasn't been in the lineup for the Avalanche since lifting the Stanley Cup on June 26, 2022. Landeskog produced 30 goals and 59 points in 51 appearances during the 2021-22 campaign.

Landeskog (knee) won't be an option for the 2023 playoffs.
Landeskog hasn't played at all in the 2022-23 campaign because of the injury. His absence has left a big hole in the Avalanche's lineup, which will continue to be felt in the playoffs, especially after Landeskog recorded 11 goals and 22 points in 20 contests during the Avalanche's 2022 Stanley Cup run. The 30-year-old is signed to an eight-year, $56 million contract that runs through 2028-29.

Landeskog (knee) may miss the entirety of the regular season, Ryan Boulding of NHL.com reports.
Landeskog resumed skating in February, but he remains without a definite timetable for his return, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the Avalanche hold him out until postseason play gets underway. The 30-year-old Swede, who has yet to play this season after undergoing knee surgery in October, racked up 30 goals, 59 points and 150 shots on net through 51 games last campaign.

Landeskog (knee) will return to Denver shortly and start skating, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Landeskog has yet to play this season and while it was thought he could return by mid-January, a return in mid-March or later, is more likely. Landeskog will need a couple of weeks to get in skating shape and then some full practices as well, before he is able to return to the lineup. He had 30 goals and 59 points in 51 games last season.

Landeskog has yet to play this season, but it looks like he'll finally be back on the ice soon. The 30-year-old winger will need some time before he's in game shape, but a March return still looks to be the plan. He scored 59 points in 51 games last season.

Landeskog has yet to play this season after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-October, but if he's able to avoid any setbacks once he resumes skating, it sounds like he could be ready to return sometime in mid-to-late February. Once given the green light, look for the 30-year-old winger, who racked up 30 goals and 59 points through 51 contests last season, to slot into a top-six role and a spot on the No. 1 power-play unit for the stretch run.

Landeskog (knee surgery) is making progress according to coach Jared Bednar, Brennan Vogt of Colorado Hockey Now reports.
Landeskog started started skating on his own two weeks ago and if he remains on schedule, he is approximately four weeks away from his return to the lineup. Landeskog has yet to play this season but will make a nice addition for fantasy managers.
