Jones produced an assist, four PIM, three shots on goal, two hits and a minus-3 rating in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Canucks. Jones saw a four-game point streak end Sunday versus the Kings, but he's been tough to silence in January with three goals and nine helpers through 11 contests. The defenseman is up to 22 points, 94 shots on net, 71 blocked shots, 54 hits and a minus-26 rating through 36 outings. He remains the Blackhawks' top defenseman in all situations.... See More ... Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Stays red hot Tuesday
Jones contributed two goals and an assist in Chicago's 4-3 overtime win against Buffalo on Tuesday. With Chicago down 3-2, Jones tied the game with his goal at 19:04 of the third period and then netted the winner 2:24 into overtime. That gives him four goals and 19 points in 32 contests. The 28-year-old is red hot, providing three goals and eight points in his last six games.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Provides three helpers Saturday
Jones registered three assists in an 8-5 loss to Seattle on Saturday. Two of Jones' three assists were recorded when Chicago had the man advantage. He has chipped in at least a point in four of his last five games. Through 31 contests this season, Jones has two goals and 16 points, including nine power-play points.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Provides assist on game-winner
Jones recorded an assist, three shots on goal, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 2-0 win over the Coyotes. Jones set up Jake McCabe's goal midway through the second period, which was ultimately all the Blackhawks needed. The 28-year-old Jones has three points over his last five contests. This was the first time he posted a plus rating since Dec. 15. The blueliner is up to two tallies, 10 helpers, 76 shots on net, 59 blocked shots, 34 hits and a minus-24 rating through 28 outings overall.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Nets power-play goal
Jones scored a power-play goal in a 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Jones' marker opened the scoring at 4:50 of the first period, but Chicago failed to build off that early lead. It was his second goal and 11th point in 27 games this season. Jones had been held to an assist over his previous seven contests.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Crafts point streak
Jones compiled a power-play assist, four blocked shots and five shots on goal in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Wild. Jones has helpers in back-to-back games as a welcomed trend for his fantasy managers. The 28-year-old dealt with a thumb injury earlier in the campaign and he's been wildly inconsistent overall. Of course, the Blackhawks have lost six straight games and there hasn't been a great deal of support for the top-pairing blueliner.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Posts assist in loss
Jones produced an assist and three shots on goal in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights. Jones helped out on a Taylor Raddysh goal in the third period. In 10 games since returning from a thumb injury, Jones has done alright with a goal and three assists, though he also has a minus-12 rating in that span. The 28-year-old blueliner is up to eight points, 45 shots on net, 41 blocked shots, 24 hits, 12 PIM and a minus-17 rating through 18 contests overall. The ugly plus-minus is to be expected on a team that's been outmatched in most games, but the Blackhawks' lack of offense has also negatively impacted Jones' scoring.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Picks up two helpers Saturday
Jones registered two assists in Saturday's 5-2 win against the Rangers. Jones has a goal and seven points in 13 games this season. He didn't play from Oct. 30-Nov. 20 because of a thumb injury, but since returning he has resumed his key role with the Blackhawks. The 28-year-old logged 24:50 of ice time, including 3:18 on the power play, Saturday.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Skates back into action
Jones scored a goal on three shots during Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the host Stars. Jones, who dressed for the first time since breaking his thumb Oct. 29, sparked the Blackhawks' offense with a second-period marker. The 28-year-old defenseman's first tally this season appeared to ignite the Blackhawks' stagnant offense, which entered Wednesday tied for the NHL-low in goals (48). The outburst marked the first time the Blackhawks scored more than three goals since dropping a 6-5 decision to the Oilers on Oct. 27.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Activated off IR
Per the NHL media site, Jones (thumb) has been activated off injured reserve, putting him on track to return to the lineup Wednesday versus Dallas. Jones should return to his usual featured role skating on Chicago's top pairing and first power-play unit following his 10-game absence due to a thumb injury. The 28-year-old defender has tallied four helpers through eight games this campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Hopes to play Wednesday
Jones (thumb) hopes to be back in the lineup Wednesday at Dallas, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Jones was a full participant in Tuesday's practice. It is believed he will do his best to convince the Blackhawks to allow him to play in his hometown. Jones has missed the past 10 games with a right thumb injury.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Skates before practice Friday
Jones (thumb) skated before practice Friday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Jones has been out of action since Oct. 30 after blocking a shot against the Sabres. The timeline for Jones was 3-4 weeks, so he could seemingly be ready to return at any time over the next week. Jones has missed the last eight games after starting with four assists in eight games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Lands on IR
Jones (thumb) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Jones is expected to be sidelined for 3-4 weeks with a right thumb injury, so this move was expected. With Jones set to be sidelined long term, look for Filip Roos to be a regular in the Blackhawks' lineup for the foreseeable future. Jones has picked up four helpers while averaging 25:12 of ice time through eight games this campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Out 3-4 weeks
Jones will be sidelined for three-to-four weeks with a right thumb injury. Jones was injured on a shot block in the second period of Saturday's game against Buffalo, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports. The 28-year-old defender will begin his extended stay on the sidelines when Chicago hosts Minnesota on Sunday. He has four assists, 22 shots on goal, 21 blocks and 16 hits in eight games this season. Jones' absence will be a big hole for the Blackhawks, as his average ice time of 25:14 will have to be spread out among other members of the defense corps.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Earns two assists
Jones registered two power-play assists against Seattle on Sunday. Jones has three assists to start the year but is still looking to open his goal account. The blueliner is coming off a fantastic year in which he recorded the second 50-plus campaign of his career, including 19 power-play helpers. While the Texas native is unlikely to score a lot of goals, he should continue to compile assists, especially given his role with the No. 1 power-play unit.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Provides shorthanded assist
Jones logged a shorthanded assist and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Sharks. Jones helped out on the second of Sam Lafferty's goals in the contest. The helper was Jones' first point in three games this season, though he's remained a physical presence on the top pairing. The 28-year-old blueliner has a plus-1 rating, three shots on goal, eight blocked shots and nine hits so far this year. That plus-minus is likely to erode over time, but he can still generate offense and play a heavy game.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Needs one more point for 50
Jones had two assists -- one on the power play -- to go with three shots and four blocked shots in Thursday's 5-4 shootout win over the Sharks. Jones was heavily involved on both ends of the ice, as is typical for the minute-munching defenseman. Unfortunately for Jones and the Blackhawks, he hasn't helped the team achieve much success in his first year in the Windy City. In terms of personal accolades, Jones needs just one more point to reach 50 for the second time in his career.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Deposits goal in win
Jones scored a goal on five shots and added two hits in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Sabres. Jones gave the Blackhawks a 4-0 lead in the second period, but it was all downhill from there. The 27-year-old defenseman extended his point streak to six games (two goals, four helpers) with his tally Monday. He's been a strong scoring presence this season with 45 points and 157 shots on net in 63 appearances. He's added 80 hits, 132 blocked shots and a minus-26 rating, though that's mainly a product of the Blackhawks' poor team defense.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Riding four-game point streak
Jones logged an assist, three shots on goal, five blocked shots and two hits in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Kings. Jones extended his point streak to four games (one goal, three helpers) with the secondary assist on Sam Lafferty's second-period marker. Through 61 contests overall, Jones had 43 points, 151 shots on net, 126 blocks, 76 hits and a minus-25 rating in a top-pairing role.... See More ... See Less -
Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Adds power-play helper
Jones produced a power-play assist, four blocked shots and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Ducks. Jones helped out on a Patrick Kane goal in the second period. It's been a productive March for Jones, who has eight points, 19 shots on net and 17 blocks through 10 games. For the season, the 27-year-old defenseman is at 42 points (16 on the power play), 148 shots on goal, 121 blocked shots and a minus-26 in 60 contests. He'll continue to see workhorse minutes in all situations as the Blackhawks' top defenseman.... See More ... See Less
