  • Chris Tierney: Joins KHL team

Tierney signed a one-year contract with Dinamo Minsk of the KHL on Monday. Tierney registered four goals and 12 points across 52 regular-season contests with New Jersey in 2023-24. The 30-year-old forward has amassed 80 goals and 248 points over 649 games during his NHL career.

  • Devils' Chris Tierney: Manages assist

Tierney provided an assist in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Sabres. Tierney has a point in three straight games (one goal, two assists), which is great work for a fourth-liner who has gone 10 games without exceeding 10 minutes of ice time. The 29-year-old has 11 points, 23 shots on net, 17 hits and a plus-3 rating over 44 contests this season. Given his limited role, Tierney isn't a useful fantasy option.

  • Devils' Chris Tierney: Chips in for two points

Tierney produced a goal and added a helper in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Stars. With the Devils down 2-1 late in the first period, Tierney scored his second goal of the season and then added a primary assist on the game's final goal to seal the win for New Jersey. Tierney added one shot, one hit and a plus-2 rating in only 9:05 of ice time. The fourth-line center has only two points since the All-Star break. Unless there's a significant shift in his usage by the coaching staff, Tierney's fantasy value remains low.

  • Devils' Chris Tierney: Notches helper in win

Tierney logged an assist in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Sharks. Tierney, who played his first four NHL campaigns for the Sharks, was able to get on the scoresheet for the first time since Feb. 6. The 29-year-old has just three appearances in February, but he's picked up two points in those games despite seeing limited ice time in a fourth-line role. That's been the story of his season far -- the center is at six points, 16 shots on net, 13 hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 30 appearances.

  • Devils' Chris Tierney: Tips in goal

Tierney scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche. Tierney got a piece of a Simon Nemec shot for the Devils' first tally. After spending large portions of the first half of the season as a healthy scratch, Tierney has played in 15 straight games while providing five points in that span. That's all of his offense through 28 outings, and he's added 16 shots on net, 10 hits and a plus-2 rating. Tierney could return to being a healthy scratch once Tyler Toffoli (illness) and Jack Hughes (upper body) are back in action.

  • Devils' Chris Tierney: Secures helper in win

Tierney supplied an assist in Friday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. Tierney slid the puck to Simon Nemec in the neutral zone, and the rookie defenseman lasered a shot past Arvid Soderblom for a game-tying goal in the third period. The Devils have five forwards currently dealing with injuries, including Jack Hughes' undisclosed issue stemming from Friday's contest, so we figure that Tierney will at least maintain his spot on the fourth line in the short term. Unfortunately, he has just two assists representing his point total through 17 games.

  • Devils' Chris Tierney: Just one shot in 12 games

Tierney had a minus-1 rating across 7:48 of ice time in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flyers. Tierney's ice time was second-lowest on the team after Samuel Laberge (4:00), but at least Laberge managed to throw a hit during his brief playing time while Tierney failed to record a shot, block or hit in a continuation of a common theme for the fourth-line center. Tierney has just one shot on goal and no points in 12 appearances this season.

  • Devils' Chris Tierney: Non-contributor for New Jersey

Tierney didn't record a meaningful statistic in a team-low 7:43 TOI during Thursday's 5-3 win over the Wild. Tierney isn't playing much, nor is he making much of his limited ice time. He has dressed for only three of New Jersey's first nine games, and Tierney has yet to reach eight minutes of ice time in a game, nor has he recorded a point or even a shot on goal.

  • Devils' Chris Tierney: Signs with Devils

Tierney signed a one-year, two-way contract with New Jersey on Friday. Tierney played 36 games in the NHL last season, managing three goals and 10 points between the Panthers and the Canadiens. The veteran forward also spent 20 games with AHL Charlotte, scoring three times while adding 13 assists. It was his first minor-league action since 2015-16 when he was in the Sharks organization. Tierney will receive $775,000 at the NHL level and $400,000 when playing in the minors in 2023-24.

  • Canadiens' Chris Tierney: Picks up shorthanded assist

Tierney had a shorthanded assist, one shot on goal and one blocked shot over 13:18 of ice time in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Rangers. Tierney jumped on a misplayed puck by New York's Patrick Kane and skated into the Rangers' zone before feeding Josh Anderson for a shorthanded tally midway through the second period. He's logged three assists over the last two games and four points overall in seven games since Montreal claimed him off waivers. Tierney is one of several fringe forwards playing regular roles with injuries to Cole Caufield (shoulder), Kirby Dach (lower body), Jake Evans (lower body), Brendan Gallagher (lower body) and Juraj Slafkovsky (lower body).

  • Canadiens' Chris Tierney: Logs two helpers

Tierney had two assists and one shot on goal over 9:38 of ice time in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Hurricanes. Tierney was involved in both goals scored by his fourth-line mates. He prevented Carolina from clearing their zone, which initiated a sequence leading to Alex Belzile's tally in the first period. He later set up Michael Pezzetta for a second-period strike. Tierney has three points in six games since being claimed off waivers by Montreal.

  • Canadiens' Chris Tierney: Scores in Canadiens debut

Tierney netted a goal in Montreal's 5-2 win over Philadelphia on Friday. Tierney scored at 19:55 of the first period to put Montreal ahead 2-0. He was playing in his first game with the Canadiens after being claimed off waivers from Florida on Thursday. The 28-year-old recorded two goals and three points in 13 contests while averaging 8:28 of ice time with the Panthers before joining the Habs. He logged 13:12 of ice time during Friday's contest, so perhaps this change of scenery will lead to him playing a bigger role.

  • Panthers' Chris Tierney: Placed on waivers

Tierney was put on waivers by Florida on Wednesday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Tierney is expected to be reassigned to the minors if he clears. He has two goals and three points in 13 games while averaging 8:28 of ice time with Florida this season. At the AHL level with Charlotte, Tierney's provided three goals and 16 points in 20 contests in 2022-23.

  • Panthers' Chris Tierney: Summoned by Florida

Tierney was called up by Florida on Thursday. Tierney was sent to AHL Charlotte on Monday after being removed from the concussion protocol. He has three goals and 16 points in 20 contests with Charlotte this season. The 28-year-old also has contributed two goals and three points in five games with the Panthers.

  • Panthers' Chris Tierney: Loaned to AHL Charlotte

Tierney (concussion) was loaned to AhL Charlotte on Monday. Tierney, who had been unavailable due to concussion protocol, is ready to see some playing time again in the minors. He provided two goals, one assist, three shots on net, two blocks and two hits in five appearances with the Panthers.

  • Panthers' Chris Tierney: In concussion protocol

Tierney is in the NHL's concussion protocol, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports. Tierney is believed to be "worse than day-to-day," so for now, the 28-year-old forward can be considered out indefinitely. Tierney has drawn into just five games with the Panthers this season, as he's been splitting time between the NHL and the AHL, so his absence will likely go unnoticed in most fantasy circles.

  • Panthers' Chris Tierney: Likely to miss time

Tierney (upper body) is considered worse than day-to-day, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports. Tierney suffered the injury Tuesday versus the Blue Jackets, and it appears he'll miss time after head coach Paul Maurice delivered the bad news after the game. Tierney could be replaced by Anton Lundell (illness) or Carter Verhaeghe (illness) for Thursday's game versus the Penguins.

  • Panthers' Chris Tierney: Sustains upper-body injury

Tierney (upper body) won't finish Tuesday's game versus the Blue Jackets. Tierney was leveled on a hit in the second period and immediately went to the locker room. Along with Tierney, Colin White (upper body) also left the game early. Tierney's status should be updated prior to Thursday's game versus the Penguins.

  • Panthers' Chris Tierney: Joins big club

  • Panthers' Chris Tierney: Hits waivers

Florida waived Tierney on Sunday, per CapFriendly. The Panthers signed Tierney to a two-way deal this offseason as a veteran depth option. Assuming he passes through waivers, the 28-year-old will likely begin the year with AHL Charlotte.
