  • Remi Elie: Signs with Swedish team

Elie signed a one-year contract with Farjestad of the SHL on Friday, Tony Androckitis of Inside AHL Hockey reports. Elie spent most of the 2021-22 season with AHL Syracuse, picking up 17 goals and 29 points over that span. At this point, it wouldn't be surprising to see the 27-year-old winger spend the rest of his playing days overseas.

  • Lightning's Remi Elie: Reassigned to AHL affiliate

Elie joined AHL Syracuse on Tuesday. Elie has bounced between the taxi squad and AHL Syracuse since Dec. 29, never making his NHL 2021-22 season debut. He has played one game for AHL Syracuse since his initial elevation and was held without a point. Barring more misfortune occurring among the ranks of Tampa Bay's forwards, he will remain in the AHL for the foreseeable future.

  • Lightning's Remi Elie: Assigned to AHL affiliate

Elie joined the ranks of AHL Syracuse on Saturday. Elie will return to AHL Syracuse, where he has logged seven points in his last seven performances. The 26-year-old has not set skated on the NHL ice this season but will be near the front of the line for any coming big-league opportunities.

  • Lightning's Remi Elie: Playing Thursday

Elie was promoted from the taxi squad to the active roster for Thursday's tilt with Florida, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports. Barring a last-second change, Elie will suit up in an NHL game for the first time since the 2018-19 campaign. The 26-year-old forward has 106 games of NHL experience, tallying 22 points and 28 PIM in the process.

  • Lightning's Remi Elie: Joins taxi squad

  • Lightning's Remi Elie: Waived by Tampa Bay

Elie (undisclosed) was waived by the Lightning on Wednesday, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports. Elie was placed on non-roster injured reserve prior to the first game of the season, but this move indicates he's recovered from his undisclosed injury. The 26-year-old winger will likely spend most, if not all of the campaign in the minors.

  • Lightning's Remi Elie: Lands on injured reserve

Elie (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, per CapFriendly. It's unclear what injury Elie is dealing with. The 26-year-old lasted played in the NHL with the Sabres in 2018-19, so he should be expected to begin his campaign with AHL Syracuse once he's healthy.

  • Lightning's Remi Elie: Gets two-way deal with Tampa

Elie signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Lightning on Wednesday. Elie hasn't been in the NHL since 2018-19 when he had one assist in 16 appearances with the Sabres. The winger has collected 46 points in 87 games with AHL Rochester over the last three years, but he's unlikely to make the Lightning's Opening Night roster. Instead, expect Elie to begin 2021-22 with AHL Syracuse.

  • Remi Elie: Let go by Sabres

Elie did not receive a qualifying offer from the Sabres and will become a UFA on Friday, Sabres beat writer Joe Yerdon reports Elie spent the entirety of the 2019-20 campaign with AHL Rochester, producing eight goals and five assists in 34 contests. He has 106 games of NHL experience, so it's possible the 25-year-old could garner some interest as a depth forward. He hasn't played in the NHL since making 16 appearances in 2018-19 with the Sabres, in which he produced just one helper.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Clears waivers

Elie cleared waivers, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. Elie only appeared in 16 games for the Sabres last season, collecting just a single point. He will head to AHL Rochester, and will look to improve on last year's 14 points in 25 contests with the club. He figures to be one of the first options for a call-up.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Minor-league bound

Elie was waived for the purpose of reassignment by the Sabres on Monday. Elie played 16 games with the big club last year and recorded just one point, and he's being used in a checking role with 30 hits in that span. The 24-year-old still has plenty of time to develop into a modest offensive threat, however, and he should line up in a top-six role with AHL Rochester if he clears waivers.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Nabs one-year deal

Elie inked a one-year, two-way contract with Buffalo on Thursday. After appearing in 72 games with the Stars in 2017-18, Elie was limited to a mere 16 NHL contests last year. Given the two-way nature of his deal, the winger is unlikely to see a significant uptick in opportunities, especially following the additions of Marcus Johansson and Jimmy Vesey.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Seeking arbitration

Elie filed for salary arbitration Friday. Elie didn't see much action with Buffalo last season as he only managed one assist over 16 appearances. The 24-year-old spent most of the 2018-19 season with AHL Rochester, where he accrued eight goals and six assists over 25 regular-season games.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Sabres extend QO

Elie received a qualifying offer from Buffalo on Tuesday. Claimed off waivers at the beginning of last season, Elie was unable to carve out a regular role with Buffalo, picking up just a single assist over 16 appearances. Before suiting up for the Sabres, Elie spent the better part of two seasons in Dallas, collecting 21 points in 90 games with the Stars.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Clears waivers, heads to minors

Elie cleared waivers Sunday and was assigned to AHL Rochester, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports. No teams bit on Elie, who has just one point in 16 games but added a physical presence with 30 hits in that span. The Sabres only have 11 healthy forwards since Johan Larsson is nursing an upper-body injury, so the team will likely recall a player from Rochester for Tuesday's game versus the Wild.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Dropped by Buffalo

Elie was waived by the Sabres on Saturday, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports. One could see this coming from a mile away. Elie, who signed a one-year, $735,000 contract with the Stars in July of 2018, ended up on Buffalo's roster after the team claimed him off waivers, but he's only drawn into 16 of a possible 51 games for the parent club this season -- that's hardly any time at all for a player on a one-way deal. We suspect Elie will be reassigned to AHL Rochester in the likely event that he passes through waivers unclaimed.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Back to toiling in press box

Elie was a spectator for the final six games leading up to the All-Star break. Elie has been limited to a depth role with the Sabres, which is a disturbing trend for a skater who was taken in the second round (40th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Obviously, the ex-Star can be left alone in all fantasy formats unless a myriad of injuries open up playing time for the winger.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Staying in lineup

Elie has played in the Sabres' past three games. Often a healthy scratch, Elie has found himself in the lineup as of late. He's only appeared in 11 games, with one assist standing next to a goose egg in the scoring column the rest of the campaign. His strongest asset comes in the form of hits, where he has 19. Elie is not likely to help much in any regard, but at least he has the chance to redeem himself now that he's out of the press box for the time being.

  • Sabres' Remi Elie: Back to press box

Elie will be a healthy scratch for Saturday's game versus the Flyers. Elie had worked his way into eight games for the Sabres. He's collected an assist, his only point, and 16 hits during his time on the ice. He is scratched more often than not, and has limited value even in the deepest of leagues.
