Accepting a pass from Scott Laughton and driving to the net, Sanheim lifted a shot over goalie Jake Allen's right shoulder to open Saturday's scoring 39 seconds after the opening faceoff. Sanheim was added to the NHL's COVID-19 protocols list Wednesday.
Sanheim will need to submit two negative COVID-19 tests before rejoining his teammates, so he'll miss Thursday's matchup with Pittsburgh at a minimum. The Flyers are pretty shorthanded on the back end, so they'll likely need to recall a defender from their AHL affiliate to fill in against the Penguins.
