  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Stuffs stat sheet against Canadiens

Provorov had a goal, an assist, five shots, five blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 6-3 win over Montreal. Provorov was excellent on both ends in this one. He gave Philadelphia a 2-0 lead with his ninth goal of the season in the first and assisted on Travis Konecny's tally in the second. The plus-3 performance tied Provorov's season best, improving his rating to a still-subpar minus-19.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Snaps slump in massive way

Provorov had two goals and an assist in a 6-3 loss to Toronto on Saturday. Provorov snapped an 11-game point drought in a big way. He tied it 2-2 in the second period when he wired a one-timer in the slot off a pretty pass from Kevin Hayes. And then he cut the lead to 4-3 at 12:23 in the third when his point shot deflected in off David Kampf's leg. This was the first time Provorov scored twice since Jan. 4, 2018 when he did the same against the Isles. His season has been an anchor around the necks of fantasy managers. Prior to Saturday's outburst, Provorov had just one assist in his previous 17 games.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Stuck in slump

Provorov is in the midst of a nine-game point drought. Provorov has been stuck in a rut lately, only tallying a single point in his past 15 contests. He has 20 points in 62 games this season -- a drop off in production from last year's 26 points in 56 appearances.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Sets up goal in loss

Provorov registered an assist in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes. It's been a steady, yet unspectacular, campaign for Provorov in 2021-22. He's added five goals and 14 assists through 47 games to render him serviceable in countless formats, but only four power-play points keep Provorov distanced from the league's elite group of defensemen.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Fearless two-way display in win

Provorov collected an assist to complement seven blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kings. Provorov laid it all on the line in order to help the Flyers secure their first win in 14 games. Conversely, the Russian blueliner has been a disappointment for fantasy managers since he's whipped up only five goals and 12 assists through 41 contests. While 92 blocked shots qualify as a nice ancillary statistic for the 2015 seventh-overall draft pick, Provorov will be hard-pressed to reach the 30-point mark this season.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Provides only offense in loss

Provorov scored his fifth goal of the season in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Stars. His tally midway through the second period tied the game at 1-1, but it was the only offense the Flyers could muster as they lost their 12th straight game. Provorov has managed to produce 16 points in 39 games despite the struggles of the team around him, but his minus-9 rating has him headed for his first season in the red since 2018-19.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Returns to practice

Provorov cleared COVID-19 protocols Wednesday. The defenseman should rejoin Philadelphia's lineup Thursday in Boston after missing three games. Provorov has recorded four goals and nine assists while averaging a hefty 24:26 of ice time in 32 games this season.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Surfaces on COVID-19 list

Provorov was placed in COVID-19 protocols and will not be available Tuesday against the Ducks. Provorov will need to clear protocols quickly to have a chance at returning Thursday against the Penguins. The 24-year-old blueliner his averaging 24:26 of ice time with 13 points through 32 games this season. Travis Sanheim and Keith Yandle should both see a noticeable uptick in usage while Provorov is out.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Tickles twine in loss

Provorov scored a goal on two shots, blocked five shots and went minus-2 in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Kings. Provorov got the Flyers within two goals late in the third period, but the deficit was too much to overcome. The Russian defenseman has scored twice in his last three games. He's up to four tallies, 13 points, 56 shots on net, 74 blocks and a minus-2 rating through 32 contests as the Sharks' top blueliner.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Secures win in overtime

Provorov scored a goal and blocked three shots in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kraken. Provorov got behind the Kraken's defense in overtime, converting on a Kevin Hayes pass to seal the win. This was just Provorov's third goal of the season, and his first game-winner. The defenseman is up to 12 points, 54 shots on net, 64 blocks and an even plus-minus rating. He's showing more life on offense with four points in his last four games after a rather cool start to the year.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Secures helper in milestone game

Provorov registered an assist Saturday in a 4-3 overtime win over the Senators. Provorov -- who appeared in his 400th career game -- was the primary setup man on Oskar Lindblom's second-period tally. We're not seeing overwhelmingly positive numbers from Provorov based on his output of two goals and nine assists through 29 games, but he's a top-pairing defenseman who garners consistent ice time on the man advantage, plus the 61 blocked shots that he's recorded sharpen his overall fantasy profile.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Buries power-play goal

Provorov scored a power-play goal on four shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Stars. Provorov's third-period tally kept the Flyers within a reasonable striking distance, but it was also the last goal they scored in the game. The Russian blueliner has not been great on offense so far, picking up just three points in 13 games. He's added 24 shots on net, 34 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating, and it's safe to assume his offense will come around as the season progresses.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Snaps point drought

Provorov picked up an assist during Thursday's overtime loss to the Penguins. It was Provorov's second point of the year, and his first point since his season debut -- a drought of seven games. He's logged 24:32 of ice time on average, with 2:29 of power-play time. The offense hasn't been there so far, but he should start to pick it up given his role with the club.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Hands out helper Friday

Provorov recorded an assist, four blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Canucks. He added two shots on goal and two PIM. Provorov assisted on a Joel Farabee goal in the first period. Despite playing a physically demanding style, Provorov has yet to miss a game in his NHL career while logging 100-plus blocked shots in each of his five seasons so far. He's not just a solid defender -- he posted 26 points in 56 outings last year and reached a career high of 41 points in 2017-18. While Keith Yandle will see most of the power-play time this year, Provorov's steady all-around game makes him a solid option for fantasy managers.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Picks up assist Tuesday

Provorov recorded an assist, six shots on goal and six blocked shots in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Penguins. Provorov was steady at both ends of the rink, but that couldn't be said for many of his Flyers teammates. The Russian blueliner has 26 points, 123 shots, 100 blocks and a plus-3 rating through 53 appearances this season. While it's been a difficult year on offense for the 24-year-old, he's remained one of the NHL's better shot-blockers -- he's reached triple-digits in that category in all five of his campaigns.

  • Flyers' Ivan Provorov: Too much for NJ to handle

Provorov registered an assist Sunday in a 4-3 win over the Devils. A two-time NHL All-Star, Provorov is averaging 0.52 points per game for a Flyers squad that has struggled to gain positive momentum in the MassMutual East Division. Still, the prolific defenseman has five points (one goal, four assists) in four games against the Devils this season, which is notable as the Flyers get set to take on New Jersey again Tuesday night.
