  • Sabres' Alex Tuch: Earns two points Thursday

Tuch scored a goal on two shots, added a shorthanded assist, blocked three shots, logged two PIM and went plus-3 in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Flyers. Tuch's season finale was a pretty all-encompassing view of what he can bring to the lineup. The 28-year-old winger surged late in the season, racking up 16 points over his final 12 contests. He should get some attention for the Selke Trophy as the league's top defensive forward -- Tuch led all forwards in two categories, racking up nine shorthanded points and 113 blocked shots. Overall, he had 36 goals, 31 assists, 196 shots on net, 73 hits and a plus-16 rating over 82 appearances. He'll want a repeat performance as he enters his contract year in 2025-26.

Tuch scored a power-play goal and went minus-2 in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning. Tuch has 10 goals and six assists over his last 15 outings. Half of his goals in that span have come on special teams (three shorthanded, two on the power play). Overall, the winger is up to 35 goals -- one off his career high -- and 65 points while adding 190 shots on net, 73 hits, 109 blocked shots, 45 PIM and a plus-14 rating over 80 appearances.

  • Sabres' Alex Tuch: Keeps rolling with shortie

Tuch scored a shorthanded goal on two shots in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Hurricanes. Tuch currently stands alone atop the list of shorthanded goals this season -- he has six of them after Tuesday, breaking a tie with Sam Reinhart and Seth Jarvis. Tuch also leads the league with eight shorthanded points, one less than his nine power-play points as he enjoys an excellent all-around campaign. The winger has seven goals and five assists during a seven-game point streak that has him up to 63 points, 183 shots on net, 106 blocked shots, 69 hits and a plus-16 rating over 77 appearances this season. It's still a long shot, but Tuch could push for the 70-point mark if he stays hot to close out the campaign.

  • Sabres' Alex Tuch: Point streak reaches six games

Tuch recorded a goal and an assist in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Bruins. Tuch has found the back of the net six times during his six-game point streak, and the winger has cleared the 60-point plateau for the second time over his last three seasons with 62 points over 76 outings this year. • Sabres' Alex Tuch: Draws power-play assist

Tuch registered a power-play assist and four shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Lightning. Tuch's goal streak ended, but he's gotten on the scoresheet in five straight games, earning five goals and four assists in that span. The winger continues to get it done in all situations, and he's even logged at least one block in seven of the last eight contests. For the season, Tuch has 60 points (32 goals, 28 helpers), nine power-play points, seven shorthanded points, 179 shots on net, 105 blocks, 68 hits, 40 PIM and a plus-13 rating through 75 appearances. He had 59 points in 75 outings a year ago, but his all-around game has never been better than it's been this season.

  • Sabres' Alex Tuch: Tallies three points Sunday

Tuch netted two goals and dished a power-play assist in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Capitals. Tuch's two goals were both at even strength. His first tally put the Sabres up 3-2 before his second built Buffalo's lead to two goals late in the third period. Additionally, Tuch's assist came on a power play in the first period to help Tage Thompson score his first goal of the night. Overall, the 28-year-old Tuch has 31 goals, 26 assists, 100 blocked shots and 173 shots on net in 73 games this season. The winger is currently on a three-game point streak where he has four goals and six total points. While he won't reach the 79-point mark he had in the 2022-23 season, Tuch is just three points shy of besting his total from a season ago and hitting 60 points for the second time in his nine-year career. With the Sabres out of the playoff race in the Eastern Conference, look for Tuch to continue picking up points down the stretch with virtually no pressure added to his game. Because of this, Tuch has good value in all fantasy leagues for the rest of the season.

With production in all situations and a hot stick, Tuch has a chance to reach the 60-point mark after narrowly missing it in 2023-24.

  • Sabres' Alex Tuch: Scores game-winner in OT

Tuch tallied the game-winning goal and registered five shots on net in Monday's 3-2 overtime win against the Bruins. With 11 seconds remaining in the extra period, Tuch tipped a shot from Owen Power into the back of the net to seal the win. Monday's winning goal helped Tuch eclipse the 50-point mark on the season with 26 of the tallies being goals. He currently ranks fourth on the Sabres in points and is just one behind JJ Peterka. While Tuch has 10 points in his last 13 games, he hasn't registered an assist since before the 4 Nations Face-Off. Tuch offers great value in fantasy ahead of the postseason and can elevate his value to another level if he can up his playmaking down the stretch.

The two-way winger is up to 25 goals, 49 points, 155 shots on net, 88 blocked shots, 56 hits and a plus-13 rating over 63 appearances. Tuch (undisclosed) is expected to play in Tuesday's game versus the Ducks, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. Tuch took warmups in his usual spot on the second line. The Sabres had Sam Lafferty on the ice as an extra forward, but it looks like Tuch will be able to play. Tuch (undisclosed) will participate in Tuesday's morning skate to see if he will be available against the Ducks, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. Tuch left Saturday's matchup with the Rangers after just 13:19 of ice time, his fewest minutes this year. In his 55 games this season, the 28-year-old winger has managed 19 goals and 24 assists, and he should reach the 20-goal threshold for the third consecutive campaign. If Tuch can't give it a go, Jordan Greenway should be in contention for a top-six role.
