Novikov had just one helper over his previous five games. The defenseman is at three goals, nine points, a plus-9 rating and 32 PIM through 25 appearances in his third AHL campaign. He had a total of 43 points over 133 contests in his first two seasons with Rochester, but he's tracking a little better this year.
