Kaspick was waived by the Blues on Saturday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Kaspick will almost certainly be assigned to St. Louis' AHL affiliate if and when he clears waivers. The 23-year-old forward tallied five points in 20 appearances with AHL Utica last season.

Blues' Tanner Kaspick: Signs one-year extension
Kaspick signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with the Blues on Sunday.
Kaspick had five points in 20 games with AHL Utica last season and is likely to remain in the AHL next season. St. Louis' fourth-round selection in the 2016 draft is yet to make his NHL debut.

Blues' Tanner Kaspick: Ready to rock
Kaspick (concussion) will be in the lineup for Thursday's preseason game against the Red Wings.
Kaspick has been sidelined for the entirety of St. Louis' training camp due to a concussion, but he's evidently cleared the league's protocol ahead of Thursday's exhibition match against Detroit. The 2016 fourth-round pick will be assigned to AHL San Antonio ahead of the Blues' regular-season opener and will likely spend the entirety of the 2019-20 campaign in the minors.

Blues' Tanner Kaspick: Dealing with concussion
Kaspick (concussion) didn't participate in Friday's training camp practice, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Kaspick suffered a concussion during the Traverse City prospect tournament. It's unclear how long it will take for the 21-year-old to work through concussion protocol. Kaspick spent the 2018-19 season with both AHL San Antonio and ECHL Tulsa. He'll have a similar role in 2019-20 once he's healthy.

Kaspick is unlikely to secure a spot on the 23-man roster, however, will look to show the organization enough to warrant a spot on the short list of potential call-ups this season. Still, the Blues are deep down the middle which means the youngster will likely spent the entirety of the 2018-19 campaign in the minors.

Blues' Tanner Kaspick: Picks up minor injury
Kaspick sustained a minor upper-body injury that isn't expected to be serious, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
General manager Doug Armstrong told reporters, "If this were a Game 7, he could probably play in it, but it's a Game 3 of preseason." The 20-year-old will almost certainly begin the year with AHL San Antonio, but could earn a call-up at some point if the team finds itself bit by the injury bug.

Blues' Tanner Kaspick: Secures three-year ELC
Kaspick inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the Blues on Monday.
The Blues are hurting up front and they've lost out on the Jaromir Jagr sweepstakes -- he signed a one-year deal with Calgary -- but Kaspick is at least a nice organizational depth option for the Notes. An efficient two-way presence, the Manitoba native is fresh off a 45-point season with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL. He's already punched in for work with that same club this season, notching four points in as many games to complement a plus-2 rating.
