Cooley (lower body) was taken off injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's matchup against Colorado, per the NHL media site. Before getting hurt, Cooley didn't have a point in four straight games, but he could still challenge for the 20-goal and 40-point thresholds now that his injury is behind him.

  • Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Making progress in recovery

Cooley (lower body) skated in a non-contact jersey during Monday's practice, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports. Bagley noted that Monday marked the first time Cooley has participated in any drills at practice. Regarding Cooley's recovery, head coach Andre Tourigny said, "He's not there yet. Cooley is a late scratch for Saturday's clash in Calgary because of a lower-body injury. Cooley will undergo further evaluation when the team returns to Utah after Saturday's action. The Mammoth host the Kings on Monday, and an update on the 21-year-old center should arrive before that contest. He has 14 goals and 23 points in 29 outings in 2025-26. Barrett Hayton will draw back in against the Flames on Saturday after being a healthy scratch for the last two games due to Cooley's absence.

  • Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Avoids missing first game of season

Cooley (lower body) is in the lineup for Monday's game in San Jose. Cooley was deemed a game-time call heading into Monday's road matchup, but he'll avoid missing his first game of the 2025-26 campaign. The rising star was unable to put weight on his left leg after a collision during Saturday's game against St. Louis, so his injury was seemingly a stinger more than anything overly serious. Cooley will center the second line between Nick Schmaltz and Dylan Guenther on Monday, and he'll likely skate on the No. 1 power-play unit as well.

  • Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Explodes for four goals Monday

Cooley scored four goals on five shots in Monday's 5-1 win over the Golden Knights. Cooley was on a dreadful slump of just one goal and four total points over his last 11 games, but he broke out of that negative run with the best individual performance of his young career. Cooley will probably go on a strong run of production just from the confidence booster that stems from netting four goals in a single game, but the 21-year-old playmaker has already been productive this season. Even when factoring in that 11-game slump, Cooley still has 21 points (13 goals, eight assists) in 23 outings this season.

  • Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Hat trick in first period

Cooley scored three goals, added an assist and fired four shots on target in Thursday's 7-4 win over St. Louis. Cooley's first big performance of 2025-26 arrived in the form of a four-point first period, including a hat trick in which all three goals were tallied in the span of less than five minutes. It was one of the best individual performances to start a game in recent memory, and it brings the 21-year-old's season totals to five goals, two assists and 17 shots on net in eight games. His connection with Dylan Guenther and JJ Peterka on the second line was evident, and that unit will look to take a big step forward in 2025-26 to help the Mammoth make the postseason for the first time since their move to Salt Lake City. Cooley is on pace to build upon his 65-point output from a year ago and could be in store for a point total north of 70 for the first time in his three-year NHL career.

Overall, the 20-year-old center is up to 25 goals, 40 assists and 155 shots on net in 74 appearances this season. Cooley's improvement from his rookie campaign a season ago is an exciting sign from a fantasy perspective.
