Quillan made a massive impact after a 10-day stint in the NHL. He also had a six-game, eight-point streak prior to his recent call-up. Quillan is up to eight goals, 27 points, 44 shots on net and a plus-8 rating through 27 appearances. If he can improve his goal count consistently, he shouldn't need to do too much more to become a regular at the NHL level, though he's been limited to bottom-six minutes with the Maple Leafs this year.

The Maple Leafs are dealing with a few injuries up front, which necessitated Quillan being brought up from the minor-league affiliate. Quillan centered the fourth line between Steven Lorentz and Calle Jarnkrok during the morning skate ahead of Tuesday's game against the Devils. Quillan has produced five goals, 23 points and a plus-7 rating over 26 appearances with the Marlies in 2025-26.

Quillan has just one game of NHL experience from last season, posting 5:21 of ice time versus Ottawa on Jan. 25 while recording one hit. Even with his promotion to the NHL roster, Quillan could struggle to get into the lineup and likely will serve as a healthy scratch against the Blues on Tuesday.

Quillan's goal was just his second of the season, but he's been effective as a playmaker for the Marlies. The 23-year-old has 14 points through 13 outings, including three multi-point efforts in his last five games. A call-up isn't imminent, but Quillan could get a look if the Maple Leafs decide to go with a younger player at some point to mix things up at the NHL level.
