  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: Surfaces on IR

McLeod (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Sunday. McLeod tallied three assists in Saturday's comeback win over the Rangers but he apparently picked up an injury somewhere along the way. The 23-year-old will miss at least the next three games but a clearer picture of his injury could be available in the coming days.

  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: Helps with late comeback

McLeod was credited with three third-period assists during Saturday's 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the host Rangers. McLeod, who has compiled four career multi-point games, earned helpers on all three of the Oilers' goals in a 5:42 span that tied the game at 3-3. The 2018 second-round draft pick assisted on both of Evan Bouchard's goals and Dylan Holloway's game-tying marker. McLeod, who added two shots and a plus-2 rating during Saturday's rally, also earned a three-point effort against the Coyotes on March 28.

  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: Contributes helper Saturday

McLeod posted an assist in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Panthers. McLeod set up the first of Tyson Barrie's two goals in the contest. The assist was McLeod's second in the last three games. He has gone 10 contests without a goal after scoring three times in the first six games of the season. With five points (two shorthanded), 12 shots on net, eight PIM and a minus-1 rating in 16 contests, he's not doing much to earn more minutes, and McLeod will likely remain in a third-line role.

McLeod notched a shorthanded assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Lightning. McLeod set up Warren Foegele for the opening goal Tuesday. The assist ended McLeod's seven-game point drought. It was also his first helper of the campaign to go with three goals. He's earned two of his four points while shorthanded, and he's tacked on 11 shots on net, nine hits, eight PIM and a minus-1 rating through 14 contests.

  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: Scores in Monday's win

McLeod scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 6-3 win over the Penguins. McLeod tallied late in the third period, helping the Oilers secure the win. The 23-year-old center has scored in every other game so far, adding five shots on net, six PIM, four hits and a plus-1 rating. He'll continue to see time on the little-used second power-play unit while playing on the third line at even strength.

  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: Tallies shortie in win

McLeod scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Hurricanes. McLeod put the Oilers ahead at 8:20 of the second period and they didn't look back. The 23-year-old has potted a pair of goals in four contests, though he's only taken three shots while adding six PIM and three hits. The center should continue to see middle-six usage, especially with a Dylan Holloway (upper body) injury keeping the Oilers confined to 11 forwards and seven defensemen in their lineup.

  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: Pots goal Saturday

McLeod scored a goal and added two PIM in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Flames. McLeod won a faceoff back to Ryan Murray and then went to the net, tallying the Oilers' third and final goal of the game. It was McLeod's first goal and point of the season. The 23-year-old forward showed some promise with 21 points in 71 contests last year, but he's likely to be confined to a bottom-six role for much of the season, especially when he plays at center -- he'd need to move to the wing to have a chance for more minutes.

McLeod scored a goal on two shots and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 6-0 win over the Kings in Game 2. McLeod picked up his first playoff points in his sixth postseason appearance across the last two campaigns. The 22-year-old continues to work in a bottom-six role, though time on the second power-play unit elevates his scoring potential slightly. McLeod produced an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights. The rookie forward has 19 points, 73 shots on net and a minus-2 rating through 65 appearances, though his ability to produce offense will likely remain stunted in a fourth-line role.

  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: First career three-point effort

McLeod scored twice on six shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Monday's 6-1 win over the Coyotes. McLeod's first-period tally held up as the game-winner, and he added a power-play goal and an assist in the second period. It was the 22-year-old's first three-point game and his first multi-point effort since Feb. 17. For the season, he's at eight goals, 18 points, 67 shots on net and a minus-4 rating in 56 appearances. He's got a fair amount of job security despite his bottom-six role, though that usage limits the chances he'll put up useful numbers for fantasy managers.

  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: Delivers power-play helper

McLeod notched a power-play assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sharks. McLeod set up Kailer Yamamoto's second-period tally, which tied the game at 1-1. The second unit typically doesn't get much power-play time, but McLeod's managed to pick up three assists with the man advantage this season. Overall, he's up to 15 points, 59 shots on net and a minus-4 rating through 54 appearances. With the Oilers essentially at full health up front, McLeod will need to remain productive to fend off playing time challenges from Derek Ryan and Josh Archibald.

The 22-year-old McLeod has been listed on the fourth line lately, but he's seeing some power-play time on the second unity and hasn't dipped under 15 minutes of ice time since Feb. 17. For the season, he's at 14 points, 57 shots on net and a minus-2 rating in 50 appearances.

  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: Manages assist in win

McLeod logged an assist in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Panthers. McLeod has moved into a top-six role with injuries to Jesse Puljujarvi (lower body) and Zack Kassian (jaw) leaving the Oilers a bit thin. His helper came on the second of Derek Ryan's three goals in the game, which tied the game at 2-2 in the second period. It's the fourth assists in the last five contests for McLeod, who is up to 12 points, 43 shots on net and a minus-1 rating in 41 appearances. He'll have some intrigue for fantasy managers as long as he's seeing time alongside one of the Oilers' superstars.

  • Oilers' Ryan McLeod: Nabs helper Sunday

McLeod logged an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Wild. McLeod had the lone helper on a Zach Hyman tally late in the third period. With three assists in his last three outings, McLeod has taken a step forward on offense. The 22-year-old played on the second line Sunday, working with Leon Draisaitl and Evander Kane at even strength. The Oilers' forward trios have been fairly fluid with head coach Jay Woodcroft often deploying a seven-defensemen lineup. McLeod has 11 points, 41 shots on net and a minus-1 rating through 39 contests, though he's worth a look in deeper fantasy formats as long as he's in a top-six role.
