  • Sharks' Artemi Kniazev: Elevated to NHL

Kniazev was promoted from AHL San Jose on Monday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Kniazev has seen action in just one game for the Sharks this season in which he tallied two shots, one hit and a minus-2 rating in 11:59 of ice time. The defenseman probably shouldn't be expected to play during this stint in the NHL, instead providing emergency depth while the team is on a five-game road trip.
