Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Back with Flames
Pelletier was brought back from AHL Calgary and will be in the lineup Saturday against Minnesota, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Pelletier was temporarily sent down Friday in order to make him eligible for AHL action for the remainder of the season. He has accounted for seven points, 30 shots on net, eight blocks and seven hits in 16 games with the Flames this season.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Sent to AHL Calgary
Pelletier was reassigned to AHL Calgary on Friday, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports.
This is just a paper move as Pelletier is expected to be recalled later in the day. The move was made to make Pelletier eligible for the AHL playoffs, which will come in handy if the Flames do not make the playoffs. Pelletier has three goals and seven points in 16 NHL games this season.

Pelletier recorded a goal and an assist in Calgary's 4-3 overtime loss to Vegas on Thursday.
Pelletier opened the scoring at 13:25 of the first period. He's up to three goals and six points in 13 contests with the Flames in 2022-23. The 21-year-old is on a roll, contributing two goals and five points over his last four games. He also has 16 goals and 36 points in 33 outings with the AHL's Wranglers this season.

Pelletier scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Coyotes.
Pelletier deflected a Noah Hanifin shot for a go-ahead goal in the third peirod. Later in the frame, persistence in the offensive zone saw Pelletier set up Mikael Backlund for an insurance tally. With this outing, Pelletier doubled his season point total to four, and these two points were the first in his career on the power play. He's added 22 shots on net and a minus-3 rating while filling a second-line role since his recall earlier in February.

This was Pelletier's first NHL assist, and he's collected both of his points this season over his last four games after taking some time to adjust to the NHL's pace of play. The 21-year-old has added 17 shots on net and a minus-2 rating while seeing even-strength minutes on the second line.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Joins goal-scoring ranks
Pelletier scored a goal on four shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Sabres.
Pelletier sparked the Flames' comeback by scoring their first goal at 2:17 of the second period. It was the 21-year-old's first NHL tally and point -- he's had some growing pains during his first taste of action with the Flames. The winger has added 14 shots on net and a plus-1 rating while skating with Jonathan Huberdeau and Nazem Kadri at even strength for the bulk of his time with the big club. If the Flames opt to buy at the trade deadline, Pelletier could be heading back to AHL Calgary, so there isn't much reason for managers in redraft formats to keep an eye on him yet.

Pelletier was sent down prior to the All-Star break but will rejoin the Flames prior to Monday's matchup with the Rangers. Calgary's top prospect has yet to record a point in his first four NHL games.

Pelletier played in his first four NHL games during his recall, but he was unable to mark the scoresheet. The 26th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft will get playing time while the Flames are off until Feb. 6, as the AHL Wranglers play four times over that span. He had 15 goals and 34 points in 31 AHL games before his recall.

Pelletier was cut from the Flames' NHL roster Sunday, per Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun.
Pelletier, Calgary's top prospect, had a chance to make the opening-night roster after posting 62 points (27 goals, 35 assists) last year with AHL Stockton. The 5-foot-9 winger players a strong two-way game with significant playmaking upside. Pelletier will likely make his NHL debut at some point in the 2022-23 season.
