Crevier signed a one-year, two-way contract with Chicago on Monday.
Crevier made his NHL debut last season, logging 24 games for the Hawks in which he generated three assists, 18 shots and 30 hits while averaging 15:41 of ice time. With the additions of T.J. Brodie and Alec Martinez in the offseason -- not to mention the club drafting Artyom Levshunov No. 2 overall in the 2024 NHL Draft -- there is a significant logjam on the blue line in Chicago, which could see Crevier spending the bulk of his time in the minors.

Blackhawks' Louis Crevier: Returning to AHL
Rotowire
Crevier will be sent back to the minors Tuesday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Crevier's demotion will open up a spot on the 23-man roster for both Taylor Raddysh (groin) and Joey Anderson (shoulder) to be activated off injured reserve. With Isaak Phillips seemingly ahead of him on the team's depth chart, the 22-year-old Crevier figures to be a long shot to return to Chicago any time soon, especially once Seth Jones (shoulder) is cleared to play.
