Panthers' Grigori Denisenko: Shuffles up to taxi squad
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Denisenko was recalled from AHL Syracuse to the taxi squad Thursday.

This is Denisenko's first season in North America after spending the last two years in the KHL. The 20-year-old has enjoyed success in the minors, putting up two goals and an assist over the first four games. The 2018 first-round pick (15th overall) will now rise to the taxi squad, where he'll practice with top-level players on a daily basis.

Panthers' Grigori Denisenko: Officially inks deal
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Denisenko agreed to terms on a three-year deal back in May but has officially put pen to paper.

Denisenko's contract won't kick in until 2020-21, so he won't be burning a year during 2019-20, which gives him plenty of time to break into the 23-man roster. The winger notched just 12 points in 38 appearances for KHL Yaroslavl this season and figures to spend some time in the AHL next year.

Panthers' Grigori Denisenko: Reaches deal with Panthers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Denisenko agreed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Panthers on Tuesday.

Due to the uncertainty regarding when or if the 2019-20 NHL season will resume, Denisenko will hold off on formally signing a contract for the time being, but his commitment to the Panthers is official. The 19-year-old Russian, whom the Panthers selected 15th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, will make the move to North America after producing 12 points in 38 regular-season games with the KHL's Yaroslavl Lokomotiv in 2019-20.

The winger was selected by the Panthers with the 15th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft and figures to compete for a spot on the 23-man roster at training camp this fall.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Denisenko picked up a pair of assists to help Russia to a 3-1 win over Switzerland in the quarterfinals of the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship on Thursday.

It was big afternoon for Denisenko following a quiet (four points in four games) round robin portion of the tournament. The 15th overall selection in the 2018 NHL Draft, Denisenko's KHL contract with Yaroslavl expires at the end of the season.
