Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Exits Saturday's game
Lundkvist is questionable to return to Saturday's game against Minnesota.
Lundkvist left the game after he appeared to get cut in the face by Michael McCarron's skate. He logged 10:32 of ice time before exiting the match. He has two assists in four playoff games this year, including Saturday's action. If Lundkvist can't play in Game 5 on Tuesday, then Ilya Lyubushkin might draw into the lineup.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Slated starter Saturday
Oettinger is expected to start on the road in Game 4 against Minnesota on Saturday, per Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News.
After allowing five goals on 28 shots in the first-round opener, Oettinger has won Dallas' past two games while stopping 57 of 62 shots (.919 save percentage). He had a 35-12-6 record, 2.59 GAA and .899 save percentage in 54 regular-season appearances. Minnesota finished the regular season in a three-way tie for 10th in goals per game with an average of 3.27. However, the Wild are missing an important member of their forward corps in Mats Zuccarello (upper body).

Stars' Roope Hintz: Resumes skating
Hintz (lower body), who has been ruled out for Saturday's Game 4 against the Wild, resumed skating Wednesday, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
Head coach Glen Gulutzan said Thursday that Hintz is also highly doubtful for Tuesday's Game 5, but it at least appears as though the 29-year-old is trending in the right direction. The Stars want him to be able to skate with the whole team before he's in the mix to return, and it's not yet clear when that could occur.

Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Clutches up in double-overtime win
Johnston scored a goal on four shots, added an assist and logged two hits in Wednesday's 4-3 double-overtime win over the Wild in Game 3.
Johnston's already impressive resume got another bullet point for his work Wednesday. He helped out on Matt Duchene's equalizer in the third period before scoring the game-winner at 12:10 of the second overtime frame to make the Wild pay for Danila Yurov's puck-over-glass penalty. Johnston has torched Minnesota for three goals and two assists over three contests in this series. He's seen postseason action in all four of his NHL campaigns, and prior to this year, he had 18 goals and 32 points over 56 playoff outings. Johnston is already well on his way to surpassing the 10 points he had in 18 playoff contests a year ago.

Stars' Mikko Rantanen: Logs two power-play points in win
Rantanen scored a goal on six shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Wednesday's 4-3 double-overtime win over the Wild in Game 3.
Both points came on the power play, as Rantanen opened the scoring just 1:25 into the game and set up Matt Duchene midway through the third period. With three power-play points over the last two games, Rantanen looks to be heating up. He produced 22 goals, 77 points (34 on the power play), 139 shots on net, 93 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 64 regular-season appearances. Rantanen entered this postseason a veteran of 99 playoff games, in which he racked up stellar totals of 43 goals and 80 assists over eight previous playoff runs.

Stars' Matt Duchene: Rattles off three points
Duchene scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two assists in Wednesday's 4-3 double-overtime win over the Wild in Game 3.
Duchene's first assist also came on the power play. The 35-year-old center has five points, including three on the power play, over his last two games after getting held off the scoresheet in the series opener. Prior to this postseason, Duchene recorded 37 points over 69 playoff contests across eight other runs. The center had a challenging regular season with 45 points over 57 appearances, but he's brought his best against the Wild so far.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Prevails in double overtime
Oettinger stopped 28 of 31 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 double-overtime win over the Wild in Game 3.
The Wild had a lot of pressure but didn't turn it into many shots. Oettinger still had to be sharp, and he was, helping to kill off five Minnesota power plays in the third period and overtime. Oettinger had allowed 10 goals on 89 shots over three in this first-round series, but his performance Wednesday put the Stars up 2-1. He'll have an extra day to rest ahead of Saturday's Game 4.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Drawing Game 3 start
Oettinger will start Game 3 on the road against Minnesota on Wednesday, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Oettinger will be in the crease for a third consecutive game to begin the Stars' first-round series. He struggled in Game 1, allowing five goals on 28 shots en route to a 6-1 loss, but he was more effective in Game 2 on Monday, turning aside 28 of 30 shots in a 4-2 victory. He'll attempt to build upon his momentum as the series shifts to Minnesota on Wednesday.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Doubtful for Game 4
Hintz (lower body) is doubtful for Game 4 against Minnesota on Saturday, Sam Nestler of DLLS Sports reports.
While there's a chance that Hintz will join the team ahead of Saturday's matchup, he won't accompany his teammates to Minnesota for Game 3 on Wednesday. He has been out since getting injured against Colorado on March 6. According to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News, the Stars hope Hintz will be an option for Game 5 against the Wild next Tuesday.

Stars' Nathan Bastian: Skating with team
Bastian (hand) will travel with the team in order to start skating, but won't be available until the next round, at the earliest, Robert Tiffin of D Magazine reports.
Bastian was already likely to be out until early May based on his original 3-4 week recovery timeline. The winger has been on the shelf since March 28 versus the Penguins. Even once given the all-clear, the Ontario native is far from a lock to get into the lineup and could serve as a healthy scratch periodically.

Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Logs pair of assists
Lundkvist notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 4-2 win over the Wild in Game 2.
Lundkvist, who signed a two-year contract extension on the eve of the playoffs, is filling a bottom-four role on the blue line to begin the postseason. This was his first multi-point outing since Opening Night against the Jets. He's had limited postseason experience, picking up just one assist over 12 playoff outings in his career. Lundkvist had 11 points, 46 shots on net, 48 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating over 52 regular-season contests this year.

Stars' Jason Robertson: Scores in Game 2 win
Robertson scored a goal in Monday's 4-2 win over the Wild in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.
Robertson enjoyed an excellent regular season with 45 goals and 96 points while playing in every single game, and so far, he's scored in both of Dallas' postseason games. The star winger should continue to be one of the Stars' primary offensive weapons while skating on the second line next to Matt Duchene and Mavrik Bourque.

Stars' Matt Duchene: Scores, assists vs. Minnesota
Duchene recorded a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Monday's 4-2 win over the Wild in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.
Duchene gave the Stars a 2-1 lead in the second period with a power-play tally from close range following a set-up from Mikko Rantanen, and he later participated in the build-up of Jason Robertson's goal in the third frame. These were Duchene's first two points in the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs, and he figures to remain heavily involved in the Stars' offensive scheme due to his top-six role, as well as being a playmaking threat in the power play.

Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Pots two goals Monday
Johnston scored two goals, including an empty-netter on the power play, in Monday's 4-2 win over the Wild in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.
Johnston broke the deadlock for the Stars midway through the first period with a slap shot, and he'd later close out the scoring in the final minute when Minnesota was pushing for a late equalizer to send the game to overtime. Johnston had 45 goals and 86 points in 82 regular-season contests, and he's backing that up in the playoffs with three points (two goals, an assist) in his first two postseason contests.
