The last two women's gymnastics all-around Olympic champions will square off on Thursday when Americans Simone Biles and Suni Lee battle in the women's gymnastics all-around final of the 2024 Paris Olympics at Bercy Arena. Considered the greatest gymnast of all time, Biles won the all-around gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. In the most recent Summer Games, Lee captured the all-around after Biles famously withdrew from the competition with a case of the twisties. On Tuesday, Biles and Lee led the United States to gold in the team competition.

Thursday's all-around final will be the first that will include multiple Olympic all-around champions. The competition is set to start at 12:15 p.m. ET. Before locking in any 2024 Paris Olympics picks or women's gymnastics predictions, you need to see what SportsLine Olympic insider Mike Tierney has to say.

A national sportswriter whose work appears in The New York Times and Los Angeles Times, Tierney has covered nine Olympic Games in person. At Rio in 2016, Tierney profited big-time. He told readers to bet Over on Team USA's gold medal count (41.5) and Over on Team USA's overall medal count (102.5). The result? 46 golds, 121 medals and two easy cashes. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Tierney hit two of his three predictions: Germany (+200) to win the most gold medals and the United States winning Under 10.5 gold medals (+110).

In the most recent Summer Games, in Tokyo, Tierney correctly had the USA Over 111.5 medals (won 113), and for the 2022 Winter Olympics, in Beijing, he correctly predicted the Americans would win Over 22.5 total medals (won 25) and finished profitable on his 55 event picks.

For Thursday, Tierney has broken down the women's gymnastics all-around final at the 2024 Paris Olympics and has locked in his predictions. You can visit SportsLine now to see his 2024 Paris Olympics picks

Women's gymnastic all-around final preview

Biles and Lee will attempt to extend the United States' dominance in the women's gymnastics all-around. An American has won the all-around gold in five straight Olympics. Carly Patterson (2004), Nastia Liukin ('08) and Gabby Douglas ('12) pulled off the trick before Biles and Lee reached the top of the podium in the last two Olympics.

In addition, Biles can make history on Thursday. With a win in the all-around, the 27-year-old Biles would become the oldest women's all-around champion in 72 years. In 1952, Maria Gorokhovskaya of the former Soviet Union was 30 when she won the gold at the Helsinki Games. See Tierney's picks right here.
