With just 21 days left until the start of the 2016 Rio Olympics, it's about time that we start to get excited.

Here to help is Katy Perry, who on Friday released her new single, "Rise," which will serve as the official anthem for the games.

The video doesn't feature Perry at all -- instead, it shows an 80s sports movie-style montage of Olympians in the midst of training and competition.

Now if that doesn't get you pumped for the Rio Games, nothing will.

NBC will feature the song and video leading up to and throughout its Olympic coverage. There is also an original "Rise" cinema spot that will be shown in more than 20,000 movie theaters.

Perry said the timing of the song's release is appropriate given the current global climate, and serves as a unifying message.

"I can't think of a better example than the Olympic athletes, as they gather in Rio with their strength and fearlessness, to remind us how we ALL can come together, with the resolve to be the best we can be," she told E! News in a statement. "I hope this song can inspire us to heal, unite, and rise together. I am honored that NBC Olympics has chosen to use it as an anthem before and during the Rio Games."
