Zlatan Ibrahimovic stole the show with two goals in the League Cup final
Manchester United blew a 2-0 lead against Southampton in the EFL Cup final on Sunday but saw a late Zlatan Ibrahimovic header give the Red Devils a 3-2 win and their second piece of silverware (2016 FA Community Shield vs. Leicester City) in nine months. It is the 41st major trophy won by Manchester United, tying Liverpool for most by an English club.

After Ibrahimovic scored a stunning free kick in the first half and Jesse Lingard scored the second, Southampton rallied behind new signing Manolo Gabbiadini, who scored twice, while also having another goal wrongfully ruled offside.
After surrendering the lead, United was able to regain composure late with Ander Herrera setting up Ibrahimovic’s headed winner in the 87th minute.
