Weeks is in the lineup Tuesday against the Yankees, batting cleanup and playing first base, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The veteran is expected to serve in a platoon with Logan Morrison at first base this season, so it comes as no surprise that Weeks is garnering a start with southpaw CC Sabathia toeing the rubber for the opposition. Weeks displayed good pop during spring training, so if he can continue to play well against left-handed pitchers (1.010 OPS against lefties in 2016), he could be a cheap source of power in deeper leagues.
