POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) Jared Stutzman scored a career-high 20 points on 7-for-10 shooting to lead Idaho State Bengals to its first victory of the season, 92-71 over Bethesda Flames on Friday night.

Geno Luzcando added 18 points, Balint Mocsan had 14 and Gary Chivichyan 13 for Idaho State (1-5), which shot 54 percent from the field and dominated the boards 44-28. Novak Topalovic had 11 points to go with 10 rebounds as the Bengals raced out to a 41-28 halftime lead and never trailed.

Bethesda, a California program that plays in the National Christian College Association of America, twice pulled to within a point of the Bengals early in the opening half. Michael Morrissey sank a 3-pointer followed by a layup to cut the gap to 6-5, and then Shawn Barca-Patrick hit a jumper just over a minute later to trail 8-7 with 14:52 left.

Isaiah Hicks scored 17 to lead Bethesda, Ammar Rehman added 11 points and Gabriel Adersteg had 10.
