NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) Colton Weisbrod scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, James Harrison added 18 points with four 3-pointers, and Lamar Cardinals held off Northwestern State Demons 79-75 on Wednesday night for the Demons' 15th straight loss.
Torey Noel had 10 points and five assists for the Cardinals (15-10, 7-5 Southland Conference), who made eight 3-pointers and forced 18 turnovers but turned it over 14 times.
Malik Metoyer scored seven straight and the Demons closed to 76-72 on Iziahiah Sweeney's free throw with 1:12 to go, then to 77-75 on Ishmael Lane's 3-point play with 45 seconds left. Lamar guard Joey Frenchwood got a steal, was fouled, and sealed it with two free throws. C.J. Jones missed a 3 with in the closing seconds.
Czar Perry scored 16 points, Jones added 14, Larry Owens had 11 and Lane 10 for the Demons (3-20, 0-12).
