SAN ANTONIO (AP) Reggie Miller sank a 3-pointer late in overtime that gave his team the win as Abilene Christian narrowly beat Incarnate Word 71-68 in a regular season finale on Saturday.

The score was tied 68-68 when Miller got an assist from Payten Ricks and drained a 3-pointer for the winning edge with 38 seconds remaining in the overtime period. The Cardinals missed two 3-pointers in the final seconds.

Clay Gayman posted 16 points and seven rebounds for Wildcats (20-11, 15-5 Southland Conference). Coryon Mason had 11 points, Airion Simmons added 10 points. Miller finished with nine points and five assists. Ricks had seven points and six rebounds.

Abilene Christian scored 22 first-half points, a season low for the team.

Drew Lutz had 16 points for the Cardinals (9-22, 6-14), including a jumper with 29 seconds left in regulation that tied the score 61-all and sent the game into overtime. Keaston Willis added 15 points. Dwight Murray Jr. had 12 points.

The Wildcats improve to 2-0 against the Cardinals on the season. Abilene Christian defeated Incarnate Word 72-58 on Feb. 1.
