UMass wins 81-65 over La Salle
AMHERST, Mass. (AP) Josh Cohen's 24 points helped UMass defeat La Salle 81-65 on Wednesday night.
Cohen had 10 rebounds for the Minutemen (11-4, 2-1 Atlantic 10 Conference). Rahsool Diggins scored 15 points while going 6 of 8 (3 for 5 from 3-point range), and added five rebounds. Jaylen Curry went 6 of 7 from the field to finish with 12 points.
Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi led the way for the Explorers (10-6, 1-2) with 14 points and two blocks. Jhamir Brickus added 12 points and six assists for La Salle. In addition, Daeshon Shepherd finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.
The game was close going into the half, as UMass held a one-point lead, 32-31. Cohen scored 17 points in the second half.
