Sykes scores 18, leads Texas State over South Alabama 74-66
SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) Davion Sykes scored 18 points to help Texas State defeat South Alabama Jaguars 74-66 on Thursday night.
Sykes added 11 rebounds for the Bobcats (8-14, 2-8 Sun Belt Conference). Dylan Dawson hit four 3-pointers and scored 14. Jordan Mason scored 11.
The Jaguars (10-12, 3-7) were led by Tyrell Jones, who posted 16 points and two steals. Julian Margrave added nine points. Marcus Millender scored nine with five assists.
