What to Know

After two games on the road, the Duquesne Dukes are heading back home. The Dukes and the Fordham Rams will face off in an Atlantic 10 battle at 5:30 p.m. ET Saturday at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. Both teams were wiped off the court in their previous games and will be looking to bounce back in a big way.

Duquesne has to be hurting after a devastating 75-54 defeat at the hands of the Dayton Flyers on Wednesday. One thing holding Duquesne back was the mediocre play of guard Amir Spears, who did not have his best game: he finished with ten points on 4-for-12 shooting and turned the ball over four times in his 37 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, Fordham was expected to have a tough go of it on Tuesday, and, well, they did. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 76-51 walloping at the St. Bonaventure Bonnies' hands. Guard Antrell Charlton (14 points) was the top scorer for Fordham.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Duquesne is expected to win a tight contest. But bettors beware: they are only 2-6 against the spread when favored.

The Dukes are now 6-15 while the Rams sit at 10-12. A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Duquesne has allowed their opponents to shoot 46.80% from the floor on average, which is the eighth highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. Fordham has experienced some struggles of their own as they have only been able to knock down 40.30% percent of their shots, which is the 17th lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
