Nets' Egor Demin: Off injury report
Demin (foot) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Hornets, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
Demin missed Saturday's game against the Bucks due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot, but he is set to return to action Monday. Over his last five appearances, Demin is averaging 12.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 27.6 minutes per contest.

Nets' Egor Demin: Not playing Saturday
Demin (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bucks, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Demin is nursing a left foot injury, which he may have picked up during the Nets' 115-103 loss to the 76ers. He has started each of the Nets' last 10 games and has averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds over 25.2 minutes per game over that span. In his absence, Tyrese Martin and Ben Saraf are candidates to enter Brooklyn's starting five.

Nets' Egor Demin: Nets 23 points with nine boards
Demin closed with 23 points (8-18 FG, 5-14 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Friday's 115-103 loss to Philadelphia.
Demin was scoreless through the first half of action in this one, but he caught fire after halftime and finished with new career highs in points, rebounds and blocks. The rookie has had some solid showings this season, but he's struggled to string it all together consistently. Demin is not much more than a low-end assist specialist in fantasy leagues.

Nets' Egor Demin: Will play Sunday
Demin (neck/jaw) is available for Sunday's game against the Raptors, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
Demin will shed his probable tag and play through neck and jaw soreness Sunday. The rookie has started the past seven games for the Nets, averaging 10.1 points, 4.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 23.7 minutes per contest.

Nets' Egor Demin: Probable for Sunday
Demin (neck/jaw) is probable for Sunday's game against the Raptors, Meghan Triplett of YES Network reports.
Demin is dealing with neck and jaw soreness, though he's likely to suit up for Sunday's contest. The rookie first-rounder has started seven consecutive games for Brooklyn, averaging 10.1 points, 4.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 three-pointers while shooting 44.4 percent from beyond the arc in 23.7 minutes per game during that span.

Nets' Egor Demin: Knocks down four triples
Demin ended Tuesday's 113-99 loss to the Celtics with 12 points (4-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and one steal over 23 minutes.
Demin matched his career-high mark of four three-pointers in Tuesday's loss. While Demin has struggled with initiating the offense, he's proven to be a steady shooter with a 38.1 percent mark from beyond the arc through 13 regular-season games.

Nets' Egor Demin: Drains four triples vs. Toronto
Demin posted 16 points (5-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, four rebounds, one steal and one block over 28 minutes during the Nets' 119-109 loss to the Raptors on Tuesday.
Making the third start of his NBA career Tuesday, the rookie first-rounder drained a team-high four triples en route to a career-high 16 points. Demin has started the Nets' last three games, and he will likely remain in the starting five for as long as Cam Thomas (hamstring) is sidelined.

Nets' Egor Demin: Starting Friday
Demin will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pistons, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
It was Tyrese Martin who started the second half of Wednesday's game after Cam Thomas (hamstring) went down, but Demin will get the call Friday. He put up 14 points, five rebounds, two assists, four triples and one steal across 22 minutes in the season-opener, so he's worth a dart throw in daily fantasy leagues. Joining him in the first unit will be Terance Mann, Michael Porter, Noah Clowney and Nic Claxton.

Nets' Egor Demin: Quiet in loss
Demin closed Monday's 125-109 loss to the Timberwolves with two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals across 21 minutes.
Demin has yet to follow up his 14-point performance in his debut with a similar statline, but it is encouraging to see him active defensively, taking two steals and blocking a shot Monday despite the lack of offensive production. The starting point guard role has been a revolving door, with Tyrese Martin drawing the start again after fellow rookie Ben Saraf opened the season in that spot, so Demin may get the opportunity to run with the starters if he can provide consistent production moving forward.

Nets' Egor Demin: Off injury report for Wednesday
Demin (foot/rest) is off the Nets' injury report for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Demin missed Monday's loss to the Rockets -- the second half of a back-to-back set -- while the team manages his plantar fascia issue. However, the rookie will return to action Wednesday. Through three regular-season appearances, he's averaging 8.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 22.0 minutes per contest off the bench.

Nets' Egor Demin: Won't play Monday
Demin (foot/rest) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Rockets, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Despite sitting out preseason action due to a plantar fascia tear, Demin has appeared in each of the Nets' first three regular-season games, all off the bench. However, the rookie will take a seat for the second half of Brooklyn's back-to-back set, which will likely be a trend as Demin navigates a tricky injury. Ben Saraf, Jalen Wilson, Nolan Traore and Terance Mann are candidates for increased roles Monday, but Demin should be back in action Wednesday against the Hawks.

Nets' Egor Demin: Connects on four threes
Demin registered 14 points (4-6 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 136-117 loss to the Hornets.
Demin made his NBA regular-season debut off the bench and, despite being on a minutes restriction while recovering from a plantar fascia tear, logged solid playing time and impressed with his shooting by knocking down four three-pointers. The No. 8 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, the BYU product's blend of size at 6-foot-8, advanced ball-handling and point guard instincts make him a unique and promising young talent.

Nets' Egor Demin: Will be limited to begin season
Demin will have his minutes limited to begin the season, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
The Nets haven't offered a specific minutes restriction, but they appear to be exercising caution with their rookie first-rounder after he missed much of training camp with a plantar fascia tear. Demin holds plenty of upside as a 6-foot-8 point guard, but he'll likely be a work in progress and have his share of growing pains in 2025-26. Demin will come off the bench to start the season, as the Nets will start Ben Saraf at point guard.

Nets' Egor Demin: Efficient in preseason debut
Demin posted 14 points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 19 minutes during Friday's 119-114 preseason loss to the Raptors.
Demin was cleared to make his preseason debut Friday after recovering from a plantar fascia tear, and he certainly looked like he belonged. The 19-year-old rookie took full advantage of his opportunities on the offensive end and crashed the glass. The BYU product was unable to crack the 20-minute mark in his first and only action of the preseason, so expect him to be limited when Brooklyn opens up the 2025-26 regular season Wednesday in Charlotte.

Nets' Egor Demin: To make debut Friday
Demin (foot) will make his preseason debut Friday against the Raptors, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Demin has been recovering from a plantar fascia tear, which has robbed him of most of Brooklyn's training camp. Demin was the projected starting point guard heading into camp, so it will be interesting to see how he fares Friday. He's likely to have restrictions in his first game back, to be clear.

Nets' Egor Demin: Goes through 5-on-5
Demin participated in a five-on-five scrimmage at Tuesday's practice, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
This is a pretty big milestone in Demin's recovery from his plantar fascia tear. Demin's status for the preseason finale against Toronto on Friday remains in the air, but his chances of suiting up for Opening Night are trending up.

Nets' Egor Demin: Progressing well at training camp
Demin (foot) has progressed to contact work at practice, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports Thursday.
It's a significant step in the right direction for Demin, who is recovering from a plantar fascia tear. The Nets remain hopeful that the rookie first-rounder will be ready to roll in time for Opening Night in late October, and that appears to be a realistic possibility. In the meantime, fellow rookies Ben Saraf and Nolan Traore will see more opportunities at training camp.
