  • Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Continuing rehab away from team

Williamson (foot) has been doing his rehab away from the Pelicans' facilities, but he has still been under supervision from the team, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that Williamson has been continuing his right foot rehabilitation in Portland, but the reasoning behind this decision remains unclear. The 2019 No. 1 overall pick underwent offseason foot surgery and was expected to be available by the start of the regular season. However, Williamson has suffered setback after setback -- most recently getting an injection in the foot -- and doesn't appear close to making a return.

  • Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Gets injection, out another month

Williamson (foot) received an injection in his injured right foot to promote healing and will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

It's not a great sign that Williamson had to undergo another procedure to promote recovery in his broken right foot. He'll be sidelined for at least another month, and it's looking increasingly unlikely that he'll debut in January.

  • Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Ceasing court activity indefinitely

Williamson's (foot) bone has not healed as expected, and he is taking indefinite time off from his on-court rehab, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.

This is awful news for fantasy managers, as Williamson was just cleared to practice in late November, and it seemed like he might make his season debut this month. However, his broken foot is not healing as expected, forcing him to step back off the court for an undetermined amount of time. At this point, it's fair to wonder if Williamson will return at all this season, especially since the Pelicans are 8-20 and sit at the bottom of the Western Conference.

  • Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Rehab delayed

Williamson (foot) has experienced a slight delay in his rehab, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Williamson was cleared to begin practicing in full last week, but he's now dealing with some soreness in his injured right foot. While the Pelicans are optimistic that the issue isn't serious, the 21-year-old will be monitored in the coming days following his setback.

  • Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Cleared to practice in full

Williamson (foot) was cleared Friday to begin practicing in full, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.

This is excellent news for Williamson, the Pelicans and fantasy managers, who have all gotten less-than-positive news through much of the star big man's recovery. Lopez notes that the Pelicans aren't expected to have a full practice until Dec. 2, so that will presumably be Williamson's first dive back into simulated game action. A timetable for his return is still not established, but it seems fair to assume he'll return sometime in December.
