PHOTOS: Notre Dame has new uniforms for Shamrock Series game against Miami
The Fighting Irish will have a different look when they play Miami at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Do you remember the helmets Notre Dame wore for the Shamrock Series game against Maryland last season? For the most part they looked like the kind of shamrock sticker you would find in one of those vending machines at a grocery store.
Well, this season Notre Dame has found a way to make those helmets look awesome. How did they do it? Well, I'm glad you asked.
They just told Adidas to create some new uniforms for this season's Shamrock Series game against

Now, the uniforms themselves aren't all that bad. I'm not a huge fan of the pants, but the jersey is pretty nice. Where things go terribly awry is the helmet.
If Adidas had wanted to do the blue helmet with the leprechaun logo on both sides, that would have worked, but this weird 60/40 split between the blue and that gold sticker motif on the other side of the helmet?
I'm beginning to think Adidas hates Notre Dame.
