Hornets' Brandon Miller: Scores 15 points with three stocks
Miller registered 15 points (4-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two assists, one steal and two blocks over 25 minutes in Friday's 117-98 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Miller struggled with his shot over Charlotte's final two preseason games, going 8-for-29 from the floor, but he still delivered with the counting stats. Miller's shooting percentage has never been his strong suit, but he has a knack for stuffing the stat sheet and should see a large uptick in usage this season with the departure of LaMelo Ball. He'll make for a solid mid-round target on draft day.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Struggles with shot in preseason loss
Miller scored 16 points (4-17 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 5-5FT) while adding five rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes during Wednesday's preseason loss to the Celtics.
With a number of key backcourt players unavailable, the Hornets went with a big starting five that shifted Miller to shooting guard while Royce O'Neale joined Naz Reid and Moussa Diabate in the frontcourt. The alignment didn't seem to suit Miller, although he did tie Tidjane Salaun for the team scoring lead. Miller heads into his fourth NBA season mainly looking to prove he can stay healthy after missing a combined 72 regular-season games over the prior two campaigns.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Scores 18 in preseason win
Miller recorded 18 points (6-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists, three rebounds and a block in 22 minutes during Sunday's 105-90 preseason win over the Bucks.
Miller made his preseason debut Sunday after missing time with a shin contusion he suffered in practice. The 23-year-old pro matched a game-high with 18 points, albeit with mediocre efficiency. Despite struggling from the floor overall, Miller was highly effective from beyond the arc, connecting on a game-high four three-pointers.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Starting Versus Milwaukee
Miller will start in Sunday's preseason game against Milwaukee.
Miller didn't play in Tuesday's loss to Brooklyn due to a shin injury, but he will be on the floor Sunday versus the Bucks. The 23-year-old is coming off a productive 2025-26 campaign, averaging 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals over 30.3 minutes per contest in 65 regular-season games.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Good to go Sunday
Miller (shin) will play in Sunday's preseason game against the Bucks.
Miller missed Tuesday's preseason-opening loss to the Nets due to a shin contusion, though he'll suit up for Sunday's contest. With the 23-year-old swingman back in action, Liam McNeeley could slide to the second unit, though Grayson Allen's (knee) spot in the first unit is up for grabs.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Won't play against Brooklyn
Miller (leg) is listed as out for Tuesday's preseason game versus the Nets.
Miller suffered a shin contusion during Tuesday's practice. Although there haven't been further details, his absence against the Nets is likely precautionary. The 23-year-old ended the 2025-26 campaign by averaging 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting a career-high 38.3 percent from deep over 30.3 minutes per contest in 65 regular-season games.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Ready for training camp
Hornets general manager Jeff Peterson said Monday that Miller (shoulder) is expected to participate in training camp and be ready for the start of the regular season, Hunter Bailey of the HWY 49 Podcast reports.
Miller's availability for training camp is an encouraging sign after his injury issues last season. Peterson expects the forward to be "ready to roll" for Opening Night, which would be a significant boost for a Charlotte squad that could be without Kon Knueppel (hamstring) to begin the season.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Nearing return to action
Miller (shoulder) provided an update on his rehab with comments to Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer on Tuesday.
With Miller coming off May surgery to address left shoulder instability, any rehab update is notable as Charlotte prepares for training camp. "It's going good, going good," Miller said. "I'm getting stronger. That's all I can ask for. The stronger I get, the more mobile I am with the shoulder, and that is the most important thing." He wasn't ready to commit to a timetable, and he's still awaiting full clearance for basketball activities, with training camp a little over a month away.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Bigger role incoming?
Miller (shoulder) appears poised to become Charlotte's primary offensive focal point following LaMelo Ball's departure, according to Cholo Magsino of Yahoo Sports.
The Hornets are expected to build around Miller and Kon Knueppel as they enter a new phase of the franchise. Increased usage could boost Miller's counting statistics, although opposing defenses may focus greater attention on him without Ball creating opportunities. Miller is expected to be 100 percent ahead of training camp following his shoulder surgery in May.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Undergoes shoulder surgery
The Hornets announced Wednesday that Miller underwent successful surgery to address left shoulder instability, per Owen O'Connor of SI.com.
Miller missed nearly a month of action early in the 2025-26 season due to a left shoulder subluxation. Although the third-year forward is considered out indefinitely, he's expected to make a full recovery and has several months to recover ahead of training camp. Over 65 regular-season contests, Miller averaged 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.1 three-pointers in 30.3 minutes per game.

Hornets' Miles Bridges: Takes step back in 2025-26
Bridges ended Friday's 121-90 Play-In Game loss to the Magic with 15 points (5-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes.
Bridges propelled the Hornets to a 127-126 overtime victory over the Heat in Tuesday's Play-In Game, when he logged 28 points, nine rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal over 43 minutes, though he was unable to replicate that production in Friday's elimination loss. Bridges was productive to open the 2025-26 season, but his numbers dipped significantly following the All-Star break. Over his final 24 regular-season outings from Feb. 24 to April 12, he averaged 14.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.5 threes and 0.8 steals over 28.3 minutes per game. Part of that dip had to do with Bridges taking a back seat to the likes of LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller. Bridges is slated to earn $22.8 million in 2026-27, which is the final year he is under contract with Charlotte.
