Draft Prospect Outlook:
Zhaire Smith may have been college basketball's most explosive dunker as a freshman last season. That athleticism alone is plenty enticing, and when you couple it with the fact that he shot 45 percent from 3, albeit in a limited sample size (18 for 40), he's going to be difficult to pass on. He has the physical tools to be a great defensive player.
• Rare case of a non-top-100 recruit turning into a one-and-done player, as he ranked No. 194 in the Class of 2017.
• Somewhat of an unknown for most of his prep career because he was in-between positions and had yet to develop much shooting skill.
• Posted a 41.5-inch vertical leap at the NBA Draft Combine, third-best among attendees.
