Falcons' Clark Phillips: Won't play Week 18
Phillips (triceps/illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
Phillips was unable to practice all week due to a triceps injury and an illness and will officially end the 2025 campaign on injured reserve. He was placed on IR in mid-October and played only in Week 4 against the Commanders, when he logged one solo tackle while playing nine snaps on special teams. Phillips will turn his attention toward being fully healthy for the 2026 season.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Won't return Week 17
Phillips (triceps) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Rams, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.
Phillips won't come off IR in Week 17, making Atlanta's regular-season finale against the Saints in Week 18 his final chance to retake the field during the 2025 campaign. The 2023 fourth-round pick hasn't played since Week 4.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Limited Friday
Phillips (triceps) was a limited participant in Friday's practice, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Phillips has been on injured reserve since Oct. 18, and Friday constitutes his first on-field practice since suffering the triceps injury. With cornerback Mike Hughes (ankle) unlikely to suit up for Monday night's game against the Rams, the remainder of the week for Phillips will be key. If the 24-year-old can string practices together, he may be able to be activated off injured reserve and start Monday's game at outside cornerback.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Estimated as limited
Phillips (triceps), who remains on IR, is estimated as a limited participant on Thursday's practice report, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Phillips had his 21-day practice window opened Wednesday, so though Atlanta didn't actually host an on-field practice Thursday, it's encouraging to see him estimated as at least a limited participant. In order to be activated in time to play Monday versus the Rams, however, Phillips will likely have to prove himself capable of handling full practice reps Friday and/or Saturday.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Set to return to practice
The Falcons designated Phillips (triceps) for return from IR on Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
Phillips has played in just one game this season -- Week 4 against Washington, when he logged nine special-teams snaps and suffered a triceps injury. He was placed on injured reserve Oct. 18 and has been there since. Phillips will now have his 21-day practice window opened and can be activated at any time, but with just two games remaining on Atlanta's schedule, it remains to be seen if he'll get into a game before the regular season is over.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Placed on injured reserve
The Falcons placed Phillips (triceps/illness) on injured reserve Saturday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
Phillips has been unable to practice for the last two weeks and did not play against the Bills in Week 6 due to a triceps injury. He'll now be required to miss at least the next four games while on injured reserve, and the earliest he can be activated is ahead of the Falcons' Week 11 home clash against the Panthers on Sunday, Nov. 16.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Missing more time
Phillips (triceps) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the 49ers, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Phillips didn't practice all week and is now in line to miss his fifth game this season due to ribs and triceps injuries. Once the third-year pro from Utah returns to full health, he'll likely operate as one of the Falcons' top reserve outside cornerbacks.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Cleared to play
Phillips (ribs) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus Tampa Bay.
Phillips was limited in practice earlier in the week but has been cleared to play in the Week 1 opener. He appeared in 16 regular-season games last season, logging 35 tackles (27 solo), five pass breakups, including one interception, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He's expected to be the top backup cornerback on the outside behind starters A.J. Terrell and Mike Hughes.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Remains limited Thursday
Phillips (ribs) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Phillips has opened the week with back-to-back limited practice sessions while working through a rib injury. His activity level during Friday's practice will determine whether he has an injury tag heading into Sunday's regular-season opener against Tampa Bay. Clark played in 16 regular-season games (two starts) in 2024 and finished with 35 tackles (27 solo), five pass defenses (one interception), two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Limited Wednesday
Phillips (ribs) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Phillips has been dealing with a rib injury since early August that prevented him from practicing until Wednesday. He'll have two more chances to increase his activity level this week and avoid an injury tag heading into Sunday's regular-season opener against the Buccaneers. Natrone Brooks would be in line to see more rotational snaps at outside corner behind starters Mike Hughes and A.J. Terrell if Phillips is unable to play.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Not expected to play this week
Phillips (ribs) is not expected to play in Friday's preseason finale against the Cowboys, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Phillips has yet to play this preseason, so it appears as if he'll go the entire exhibition slate without logging a snap. A fourth-round pick in 2023, Phillips' roster spot should be secure after he appeared in 16 regular-season games for Atlanta last season.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Dealing with rib injury
Phillips (ribs) is expected to miss "some time," D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Phillips missed last Friday's preseason opener against the Lions, and it sounds like he's also in danger of missing this Friday's exhibition against Tennessee. The 23-year-old cornerback appeared in 16 regular-season games for Atlanta last season, making a pair of starts, and finished with 35 tackles (27 solo), five pass breakups, including his first career interception, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He's an important piece of the Falcons' secondary depth.

Falcons' Clark Phillips: Takes step up in 2024
Phillips finished the 2024 season with 35 total tackles (27 solo), five passes defensed, including an interception, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery over 16 games.
Phillips operated as a depth option behind A.J. Terrell and Mike Hughes in 2024, increasing his tackles total in his second season in the NFL, while also snatching his first career interception. With Hughes heading into free agency this offseason, it's possible that Phillips could be thrust into a starting role in Atlanta's secondary in 2025.
