Torres elected free agency Monday.

Torres will look for work elsewhere after getting designated for assignment by the Tigers and subsequently passing through waivers untouched. The veteran reliever compiled a 7.50 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 8:1 K:BB in six innings prior to parting ways with Detroit.
