Wilson will undergo surgery next week to address fraying on the labrum and rotator cuff in his left shoulder.
Things seemed to be trending this way with Wilson seeking a second opinion on the shoulder last week, and the team officially announced Tuesday that the lefty will need surgery. The procedure will knock him out until next season and presumably end his tenure with the Angels, as Wilson's a free agent this winter. He turns 36 in November.
