Angels' Felix Pena: Headed for knee surgery

Pena will have surgery to repair his right torn ACL on Friday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Pena tore his ACL on Aug. 4 against the Indians, and he'll go under the knife shortly after to have as much recovery time as possible heading into next season. A more precise timeline for his return should emerge following surgery.
