Petricka was released and subsequently re-signed by the Angels last week, according to his MiLB.com transaction log.

The left-hander has struggled with the big club this season, giving up 10 earned runs and posting an 8:7 K:BB across six innings. He was DFA'd on Sept. 16 and released five days later, but the organization brought him back on a minor-league deal Sept. 23. The 33-year-old enjoyed a brief run as a closer when he saved 14 games and posted a 2.96 ERA with the White Sox in 2014, but he's been mostly mediocre on the mound since.
