Astros' Forrest Whitley: Nearing activation

Whitley (knee) will pitch an inning or more Wednesday with Triple-A Round Rock, MLB.com reports.

Whitley has made three appearances with Round Rock, including back-to-back outings Saturday and Sunday. In total, he's thrown 2.2 frames while recording two strikeouts and one walk. Whitley is expected to be activated shortly after his rehab appearance.
